Well Lilly let me just tell you that I got 6 injections today on my face . I had these cysts thy wouldn't go away for the past month. So I'm hoping that I'd doesn't leave a scar. But like I said I've looked at your pictures like a million times and I can't see a scar . And about the filler, you really should consider that, my mom got fillers on her nauseal laveal and after the treatment she was bruised for like 2 weeks. The bruises did I'n fact go away. You shouldn't be depressed about it, I'm positive that your skin will naturally heal. Patience is virtue :)

Aby I am sure you will be fine. Dents are very rare, but apparently shit happens to me. I am reconsidering the filler, I am really not sure. I want it gone because I am very inpatient, and don't want to put my life on hold. I am fixated on the dam thing. But I understand what your saying, thank you for that. Maybe I will let it heal, i just don't know what to do.

ask your doc about glycolic peels they help get rid of acne scars really well.

Thanks all. It just puffed back out more and more everyday. Its just a faint little mark now, barely noticeable at all. Really glad I listened to all the support I recieved here and patiently waited for it to fill, instead of getting a filler.

Hi Lilly! I recently had two kenalog shots, one at the side of my mouth on the left side and one on my right side of the chin. The shot on my chin caused a dent like yours, that looks like a scar but it is a little bigger. The one on the left side just caused the skin to sag a little more as I seem to have lost some fat on my lower face. So annoying! I look like I have aged about 10 years! How did you get your dent to fill in? I had the shots on October 17th and they don't seem to be filling in at all. I have already had 2 saline shots. I also have a massive dent on my arm as the doctor gave me antibiotic and I had an allergy to the drug. The nurse gave me a kenalog shot in my arm and now my upper arm has a massive hole in it! It seems to be getting a little better...I had the shot in my arm on July 25...but it is still huge! It's so crazy that the doctors don't warn patients properly about the side effects. I said I was very concerned about denting on my face and he PROMISED that it wouldn't happen....

Is there anything in particular that you did to help the dent fill in? I have three of them!! :(

I'm in the same boat, dented. You say that you got saline injections and I was just wondering if you live on the east coast because I can't find any doctors who have heard of this treatment. :(

I live on the West Coast. I went to Dr. Sire who pioneered the saline injections I think. But I live in LA and it is an hour drive so I am going to get my regular derm to give them to me in my face and arm as it is closer and also less expensive. It is $175 a treatment with Dr. Sire, cheaper if you get them in a package. Maybe you should find the article about saline infiltration and print it out, it is worth a try, most people say saline can't cause any harm....I'm trying to not think about this but I'm pretty upset about this....not only am I having to deal with acne but now with denting and sagging...I would much rather have my cysts which were much easier to cover than a sagging face! I just can't believe doctors inject this stuff so freely into our bodies without explaining the side effects :(

The only thing I did really was take 1000 mg of vitamin c a day, and rubbed retin a (tretinion) into it daily, and it puffed back up. Dents from shots go away. Just give it time.

its awkward, cuz i heard retina can even cause scars. I bet it was just your skin that healed by itself... not the retina or anything (vit c probably helped)

What do you mean retina a can cause scars? It promotes skin cell turnover, that is why so many women use it for its anti aging benefits.
