YES! I have only been using Mineral Makeup for years now because I needed a makeup that would work for my sensitive skin. Liquid foundations give coverage but they also can cause a reaction in some skin-sensitive or not. Even more so if you are acne prone. You most definitely can a achieve a flawless, full face coverage by using mineral makeup.
1. Mineral makeup coverage will vary from product to product depending on their Mineral formulation. Trial and sample mineral makeup will help you a lot when finding one that works with your skin...also it will help you determine your shade.
2. Brushes! Brushes make or break mineral makeup application. When you use the correct brush you can actually use less and still achieve a full coverage.
1. For spot concealing use a Talkon Concealer Brush. Holds more mineral product for precise spot coverage.
2. Through trial and error I found that a Flat Top Buffer Brush is the way to go when it comes to applying mineral Foundation. It's tight brush bristles hold more mineral powder and allows for an easy application of full coverage-without actually over doing on the product.
3. A regular makeup brush is great for light coverage and finishing powders and or bronzers.
I agree on the primer. I would like to use a primer-but I'm not convinced that it would NOT break me out. I dust a light finishing mineral under my Mineral application to give me an oil free face prior to covering with minerals. I touch up as the day goes on-but I also had to do touch ups when I used liquid foundations. The one thing about Mineral Makeup is the short list of ingredients. The less ingredients for me the better.
Also, you have the choice between mineral that give you a bit shimmer or Matte. I like the the matte-only because it does not have bismuth in the ingredient list. Bismuth can cause allergic reactions in some skin. So, I would stay away from that if you have a tendency to be acne prone. Just my opinion. I hope this helps! I use
http://hellominerals.com/ and it works very well with my sensitive, acne prone skin. There are so many companies out there for you to choose from-just make sure it is "real" minerals and not mineral makeup with added chemicals. If that's the case your better off sticking with a foundation!
