I went to my family doctor yesterday, because my father asked some nurses he knows about my face and they told him they think it's a staph infection on my face and that
I should go to the doctor right away. So I went yesterday and the doctor's nurse gave me prednisone/corticosteroids for 6 days and doxycycline for a month. We'll see how it goes....

UPDATE: I started drinking Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, just for good overall health, and tried it on my left temple and part of my chin that had some spots. I diluted it to water 1:1 for topical use and 2 tsp. to 8oz water for ingestion. After a few days of drinking it I noticed my face less red and the bumps were going away! It was also really smooth and had a "glow" to it. So I've also been putting it on my face and almost ALL the bumps are gone. I've read lot of good reviews on it, but don't seem to see many users who have been using it long-term, so I'm wondering if this is just a quick, temporary fix... Hopefully not.

So.... I think I've developed perioral dermatitis.... And I keep breaking out along my jawline up into my cheeks, which makes me look like I have a freaking beard, it's terrible. The only good thing is that the redness is pretty much gone and I don't really break out as much on my upper cheeks and forehead, plus the bumps are almost completely gone on my forehead and upper cheeks.

Could I have gotten the perioral derm from the prednisone? I've read that you can get it from topical steroids, but wasn't sure.

Has anyone had this happen with their face?
