Hi everyone,

I'm new to this, so please be nice!

I have moderate acne (I'm 19, but it isnt teenager acne - due to PCOS). I have taken diannette for 6 months, and it really cleared up my skin, and also, eventually reduced the pain I get during my time neutral.gif . I have now been taken off diannette due to the increased DVT risk. I am now taking Yasmin, and have been doing for the last 3 months. So far, I have noticed an increase in my spots (which had virtually disappeared on diannette) and my periods have become far more painful, anyone advise alternative pills/treatments to diannette and yasmin? Preferably also one that works for pain, but it is not paramount that it does this.

Also, is it worth staying on yasmin for a few more months to see if waiting for my body to adjust will work?

Thanks!
J x

When I had to come off Dianette due to migraines I was offered Cilest as an alternative. I had an allergy to the Cilest so I never found out its effectiveness, but that could be one for you to consider next. However, it might be worth giving the Yasmin more time. Are you still taking the Yasmin?
