K, started my daughter who is in her tweens on spiro & bc--and kept her on antibiotics. She's been on antibiotic for 1 1/2 yrs. We added 25 mg of spiro a week ago and started bc. Last two nights...shes been puking...Called the dr. Anyone know whats up? She has PCOS...This combination is working great...Do you think if we knock out antibiotic she is k? ANy one have trouble with spiro and bc upsetting their tummy? Help!!! Mom of a darling young girl

I think that it might be the birth control, I have been taking it for years and I know it bothers my stomach sometimes at night and thats when I take it right before I go to sleep.I think if I took it during the day I would notice it more.I am also on spirolactone 75mg and have been for about 2 months and it has worked wonders on my skin.I was still breaking out with the birth control but when I added the spiro my face started clearing up.I would try and take the birth control at night right before she goes to sleep hope that helps.If your going to stop a medication I would stop the antibiotics or the birth control but continue with the spiro and she can always up the dose on that if 25mg does not help. I know how it feels to have acne its not fun I still have to deal with it at 30.Good luck and my prayers go out to you

I know!~ I had it bad too! I ended up taking accutane. Wish I hadn't...So, I would like to do my best to help her. Thanks for your replies. She's a great kid...Mom of a great girl
