my rosacea is accutane induced, because of the burning sensation i feel in humid and warm weather -i have made it a point to do as much of it possible in indoors and in air conditioned environment ,i hoped it would help me so i recently started washing with ice water which again gave my face a soothing feeling but from last two days my face has become increasingly sensitive to a warm environment , spending a little time ,say a mere 20 mins would return my face with a mottled appearance with a bump or two, the bumps are like angry red with a tiny whithead over them -i can ignore the problem anymore as it has started to cause me a great discomfirt both physically and mentally.
now i am thinking about the possible culprits that caused the bumps to come up- i recently started applying petrolium jelly to help the redness ,and the little zit has come up in the same place where i used it generously 24/7.
should i stop using petrolium jelly -i used it in the first place because of he redness i had and some rosea rashes ,i heard it was pretty good to avoid scarring too and i have scarring tendencies.
please somebody help me,what should i use to avoid this hypersensitivity, and redness.and the oily skin too.
help

If vaseline can smother lice and kill them I would assume it can smother your skin. So hear me out...If your skin is red and you put vaseline on top of it are you not just covering it? Your not making it worse but you are not healing either. Not solving the problem. It (vaseline) protects cuts and wounds from becoming infected but it is NOT healing them.It is a barrier. You are...your bodies own antibodies and an antibiotic for the wound(acne, whiteheads, etc.) or a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid compound or such will or can aid in the healing of your skin. Now if you were to put vaseline on top of such said antibiotic or moisturizer no harm would be done. You would be healing and concealing. It would be protecting that "real estate" for a better term.
I had extremely dry, red, itchy, eyelids from an eyeshadow that I used.An allergic reaction. They felt so dry and wrinkly. I put vaseline on my eyelids. Nothing change. But it did not get worse. Until I went to my eye doctor and prescribed a lotion. Completely healed. I did continue with the vaseline over lotion to aid as she said with the protection of the skin.
I have mentioned here before the Avene Thermal Spray and also their line of products for combative skin as yours and mine. That Thermal Spray never leaves my side. I carry it with me wherever I go. I use all day. My skin gets red at the thought of alcohol, day at the beach, or spicy food. Spray this on your face and it is like cold shower. I love, love, it. I just wish I would of found it sooner.
Just a last note-vaseline in itself can't create acne. If you have acne prone skin (oily) and you cover it and it can't breathe your skin produces the pimple. Not the vaseline.
