Hello Everyone

Im new here and am wondering if anyone has had the same problem with a bcp they are on or have been on in the past.

im 22 yrs old, ive never really had major skin problems, as a teen i got a few spots but nothing major at all.

About 2 years ago i started getting spotting on the pill so my doctor switched me to cerazette which is a pop pill, after only a few months i had developed acne on this pill!! so i came off it and the acne cleared up, i was just left with scars.

Since then ive been on the pill marvelon 21 which has been fine i have had the odd spots around the time of month and my scars are still here but they are healing well.

Then for some reason about 33 days ago now i started getting spots on the lower part of my face only, my chin, around my mouth and below my nose and i can feel lumps under my skin on my jawline. literally every day i wake up and a new spot is there!!

At first i thought it was a product i was using but i havent changed any.

I have also noticed i have been very emptinal and very argumentitive around my period. so after searching forums i have found out that spots on the lower half of your face are hormonal.

This is making me now think that my pill is causing the acne and causing me to be moody etc.

Could this be right? ive been on the pill marvelon 21 for just under 2 years and the acne has only flared up 33 days ago.

Can a pill do this after i have been on it for this amount of time with no problems?

I have booked an appointment with my doctor to change pills but i would just like to know whether the pill is causing my acne or whether it is something else.

Any advice or experiances would be much appreciated.

I'm really glad I saw this because the exact same thing is happening to me! I never even thought it could be my pill cause I have been on it for a few years now but the fact that this is happening to you makes me wonder if I should change my pill.

I'm seeing a doctor about my skin tomorrow cause it's really getting me down now. I'm gonna ask about dianette I think
