I have been doing, on the whole, pretty fantastic with my face since last November or so. In fact, this summer I've been off my antibiotics (was on Monodox/Doxycycline) since early April. No cysts! Just some whiteheads here and there but nothing painful or unmanagable. I am still using my Tazorac .1% gel and that gets rid of the little guys pretty quickly.
In the past two weeks I have developed three cysts all of a sudden. One has completely resolved, one is hanging onto the surface of my skin but is not painful and I have hope for its impending retreat, but another has JUST SURFACED...literally overnight...and is absolutely paralyzing my chin. How frustrating

Here is a pattern I have noticed
My bad cysts ALWAYS emerge in early september through october. Every horrible scar on my face can be traced back to this exact same moment each year. For the past couple years, I have gone on an antibiotic at this time (Bactrim or Doxy) and I am able to ween off of it around March/April.
So, is it the seasons changing? I live in Northern Ohio. We aren't *cold* yet but I wonder if there is some explanation for this shift in my skin's reliability and presentability.
Do you have issues with your cystic acne based on the seasons?
Anything significant like I have noticed?
Any tips on surviving the cold?
