So I've posted in the past about these tiny little pimples I would get around my mouth. They were like hard little bee bee's under the skin and would get inflamed and hurt (look really bad too).... I currently am on Spiro and it worked wonders for my face except in this area. I couldn't get these little buggers to go away. I tried to look at it scientifically and see exactly how was spiro working. Well, it blocks the androgens that produce extra testosterone. As we get older we produce less progesterone. The next thing I did was to look for a good natural progesterone cream so I could apply it right to the source. The first day I thought my pimples had smoothed and gonde down, the second I was sure they had gone down, and the third they were almost gone. It was amazing! Spiro worked in blocking the testosterone androgens on my face, but failed around my mouth and the progesterone cream seam to put things back in balance. The reason I'm sharing this is because if you know you have hormonal acne and female, you should try natural progesterone cream out and see what happens. I did it on 1 spot on my face until I knew it was working. It's been the only thing that works for me.... hope it will help someone else.

Hm, interesting.. I just started on Spiro a week ago, maybe the progesterone cream will help speed things along. I know Spiro takes months to work, but I am sooooo ready to have some relief from my hormonal acne. What brand of cream do you use, and what strength? Do you need a prescription for it?

Hi there,
The brand I tried is a natrual progesterone cream called pro-gest by emerita. I just ordered it off of Amazon.com. I've been using it for almost a week now and all my bumps around my chin are just about gone. I hope it works for you if you try it. The spiro works really well if you give it time, but it just didn't around my mouth.... I truned 30 and everything broke out over night. It's so fun getting older. Good luck to you!

Are you using it every day or just half your cycle? What's your spiro dose?

I'm thinking of trying this for my endometriosis etc.
