the festival is called laneway, pretty small but pulls some big acts.

I probably suggest not seeing them live because once you do you can never listen to the studio version again, its so boring. The added drums make it so raw and energetic. Worth the 30 minutes of technical difficulties they encountered!

Day 183

Well I kind of fast tracked my results, have been taking 60mg a day for the past week (20mg in morning and 40mg before bed) Side effects no different. Have a few cuts in my nostrils that just wont heal (keep picking at scab). Tomorrow is my last day! 40mg to go. Eyes pretty sore, lips dry etc!

1 Day to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well im done. Took my last pill about 26 hours ago so by now it should be out of my system. Obviously the side effects are still present. Lips and Eyes mainly. Nose cut scab is healing over. Figured I would end this with some photos as I could have some die hard followers that are just so curious to see how I ended up. My photos pre accutane sucked because I was quite self conscious. Its funny though, I always used my acne as an excuse not to take my top off at the beach etc. Now my only excuse is my physique, i have mild keratosis on my arms but that is seriously nothing to whinge about, sun and sand will probably help it!

As you can see quite nasty!

What an attractive shoulder

Smooth as Asphalt !

AFTER MY 184 DAYS

Posted Image

Eyes still red and puffy, almost alien like

Posted Image

Bit of redness that will hopefully die down!

As you can see the results are pretty decent, I am happy with it. As hard as living with accutane was I would recommend it to people with persistent accutane like myself. I cant was for the redness and weird tane burn to go away. Hopefully by next year I will have an even skin tone and no longer be ridiculously ghost like due to antibiotics and accutane. As for this thread I will probably update in a month, then 6 months and then if im still around a year.

Hopefully I never have to post in here again. Goodbye everyone thanks for the support!

11 days later an I have another pimple on my face and a massive one on my shoulder. I was under the impression that you keep improving straight after stopping, then in about 5 months you get your first pimple if any.

hmm, i think ill wait another week then call my derm.

Well its been a month since I last posted. Unfortunately I still have acne. No where near as bad as before though. I booked an appointment at for last week but decided at the last minute to cancel it. I grew a beard for about 3 weeks and shaved it off tonight revealing a pimple on my lip and a few around my jaw. I have had my first REAL pimple on my chest. A big white one. Right now I also have one on my back.

So overall I probably have 4 on me. I don't want to go back on it, but at the same time I don't want to wait 5 months and decide to go on it again ruining my summer.

I dont know what to do!?

that honestly sucks man, the last thing i wish for after my 6 month course is still be going through the same thing again, maybe you should be looking into bp treatment or something on the side to kinda maintain your skin, also don't change your habits because you think your invincible after accutane , that means washing face day and night, perhaps ex-foliating couples times a week, watch your fast food intake, drinks lots of water and so on. i have heard stories of people stopping accutane for a month then stopped breaking out fully for few years so maybe your derm calculated your course wrong and maybe you do need a extra month or so. wait it out and if in a month or so your still breaking out to a point where your unhappy, then see your derm to extend your course

Oh I still wash my face day and night with cetaphil, not exfoliating yet!

I seem to make these posts late at night, the chest pimple has gone and my lip one is already hidden by stubble. I think that I need to look at the bigger picture. I would probably be 98% clear. I see some people that I play basketball with who have shocking skin and then feel kind of guilty about whinging about mine. There is no way in the world any doctor would prescribe me accutane if they saw me right now. Even my current derm might not. I cant help but wish I had a follow up consultation though, instead I was just told to finish my last box, not worry about the occasional pimple unless it is a serious outbreak or been a good 5 months. Right now we are heading into Autumn in Australia and my Summer was pretty sheltered so I am still very pale with a lot of red marks on my back. I keep forgetting that I only finished about a month ago, some sources say it takes 2 months to leave the system. I think that I need a bit of sun, as bad as that sounds. Our neighbor burnt down our beach house but it has almost been rebuilt, so getting down to surf every fortnight will be good for me!

I want to use face masks, exfoliates etc but I still think that my skin is too thin. Ill probably wait until the 6 month mark. My long term plan is wait out this year, enjoy summer even if my skin starts to break out again, then go on a second course about this time next year, not through summer. I have only read good things about a second course.

Ill probably update in another month!

good stuff bro, just focus on the difference it's already done for you and im sure it's going to get better, didn't know you were a melbournian as i didn't read your full blog until today, your situation is insanely similar to mines, i've been on 20mg a day just over a month now, so glad i don't have to go through summer here in Melbourne while on accutane. Hope you stop by and keep us posted and how post accutane is going for you
