My ethnicity is Korean, if that helps, I have moderatly oily skin (all over face), (wash and in 3-4 hours skin is oily again). Very acne prone, can't let anything touch my face or I will break out from the bacteria.
Have gone to korea past semester to get laser treatment for scars, and they did preventive care weekly taking care of pores and pimples and definitely showed improvements.
Came back and skin broke out again (think its cus of plane ride + foods I eat and touch my face
Right now I'm using the Clinique oily set, with Nature's cure before moisturizing.
Not much improvement so far, just 1.5 weeks in. (Massive and multiple breakouts in chin and lower cheeks near jawline. As well as small pimples near forehead, bridge of eyebrows, nose
Thinking of doing this new regime and I need help from the collective minds that have done research over acne/skin ingredients and whether they'll conflict.
Would like to try this regime :
Cleanse and Tone using Clinique as before (with clarisonic)
Cleanser - Water purified, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium chloride, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, .....
Toner - water, witch hazel, alcohol, SA, Butylene glycol , Disodium EDTA
Then treatment with La Roche - Posay Duo Acne - Key ingre. BP 5.5 and LHA 0.4
Then Dramatically D. moizt. Clinique - water, mineral oil, sesame oil, propylene glycol, tea, stearat....
Combo that with Turnaround Concen. visible skin renewr (really like this prod. dramatically changes feel of skin) - Water (Aqua Purifcata) Purified, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Polysilicone-11, Acetyl Glucosamine, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Salicylic Acid, Saccharomyces Lysate Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, etc...
This is the morning regime, night will be exactly the same except Acne treatment will be replaced by Wexler acnescription overnight acne lotion - Has SA, but other than that it doesn't go into specifics about ingredient tech.
And maybe thinking about comboing that with either the moisturizer or the turnaround serum.
But yeah, I would like to get your input on the combinations of ingredients in this proposed regime.
NOT ABOUT THEIR EFFECTIVENESS, that obviously I'll have to find out by trying. Just wanted to know if any ingredients would possible conflict or cancel out one of the products.
And if you have any recommendations I add or change up a little bit, as well as any reputable acne skincare sites I should post to, please let me know,
Thanks in advance!
**Got some responses in another forum, thinking about possibly changing my cleansing routine to PURPOSE cleansing. Thinking about keeping it simple, instead of overpowering on all the acne treatments.
