To sum it all up..
I've got mild bacne.. also got some on my face. My arms and chest are very, very mild.. so I don't worry about it too much.
I'm 15 and started getting acne around 12.. eventually it started coming up on my back and all hell broke loose from there.
I tried almost everything to cure it. I found a really good cleanser St. Ives Green Tea cleanser for my face. My face doesn't have too much acne now.. maybe one or two zits and it really helps with breakouts. Has them clear within a couple days.
But my mother decided to take me to a dermatologist because she thinks my back is very, very bad. Honestly.. I only get like three pimples at a time and the rest of my back is just all scars (I do pick at it) I have tanned skin so the scars really show.
So we went to the derm today.
She was very rude about everything and made me feel insecure and rotten.. but lets not get into that -.-
Anyways, I told her that I want to try to stay off pills and stick to topical treatments.
She gave me the following:
Clindoxyl Gel to apply on the face every morning for 10 mins and then washed off.
Dalacin to apply on my back once a day.
Differin to apply 1 peasized amount on dry face at bedtime.
She also prescribed.. was it Benzoyl Peroxide? The pharmacy didn't have it at the time so I'll have to pick that up in a few days when they get it in. and I don't remember what that was supposed to be used for.. oh! I think it was a body wash for in the shower :/
But anyways.. I just wanted to know if you think this might possibly help?
If you've had any experiences with these products?
I'm really upset because with the differin the derm told me not to be outside too long because of the sun. This really upsets me because I do a lot of outdoor swimming and I walk a lot outside to get places :/
But I guess you gotta make some sacrifices?
And please, share your experiences if you've ever used these products.
Thank you(:

EDIT: Just curious, why exactly must I avoid exposure to the sun? Does anybody know?
