How long were you on mynocycline? I was on for 5 months and it has totally destroyed my skin. I have had this type of peeling after using the drug for the last 2 years. I have gone off it 2 years ago and the peeling has only gotten worse. I have also used a lot of different creams during this time and i think they probably just made the condition worse in the long run.

My suggestion would be to not use anything at the time. Drink lots of water, eat healthy and see if it goes away. Later on if it persists perhaps look at using some creams. For the time being i strongly suggest that you stay away from acne creams. I learned this the hard way

thanks for the reply keenzo. I was on it for 3 months and detected quickly that it was slowing down my healing process so stopped it. Then i went natural and went paleo diet and that actually cleared me 90%.

Yes m8 it did fuck up my skin, it not only ruined my healing ability but also causes the redness as i said and also caused some dry skin peeling aswell on my nose and cheeks. I have been using vaseline which has healped and i feel its the most non damaging moisturizer i can use.

Hey, sorry for late reply. I had some account problems, so i had to create a new one.

I can completly relate to the slowing down of the healing process. To me it was more like the skins inability to regenerate itself properly. I think it has something to do with the skin cell turnover. Either that or skin damage, but i like to believe the former.

I'm glad that the vaseline seems to be helping you. I personally cannot use any kind of moisturizer. They all seem to break me out and bring out the dead skin on top, while giving my face a strange oily peeling look.

It's good that you started eating a healthier diet. I'm sure that will help. I should probably do the same, but it takes a lot of initiative that i have been lacking lately.

At this point i would say the sun is your worst enemy. I know in the summer this peeling/flaking effect gets the worst and i think it leaves your skin much more vulnerable to the sun. I'm not even sure what to do in this case, as usually using sunblock would just break you out more. In my case it definetly does.

At the end of the day, who knows what this drug did to our bodies. It definetly altered something. The key is to stay persistent and keep trying to find the cause. Good luck.
