My eyes are spinning from reading the past few months about red and blue light therapy.
My biggest holdback to trying the Tanda (or any other device) is long term side effects.
Anyone know if there is potential for your face to react poorly after a few-several years?

I have read countless horror stories about photofacials, pixel lasers etc with rolling skin and sagging skin etc showing up a few years later.

Any advice/input one way or the other would be great. Or anyone that has used the Tanda or anything light based more than a year would be awesome!

Thanks for such a great site.

BTW:
adult hormonal acne with cystic blemishes
aha/bha, BP, .01%Tretinoin, bha face wash
No gluten, no corn, no nuts
have done 4 series of 1319 treatments, not seen any results

The tanda uses blue/red light, it's not a laser and the worst that could happen is your skin gets midly irritated if you use it too long and even then you have to be someone with really sensitive skin. I use a blue light and it has never affected me in any negative way. Light therapy is considered 'easier' on the skin than BP while being just as or more effective from what I've read.
On a side note, you should look around here for less expensive options, I was going to get the tanda at first until I realized how overpriced it was.

Tylie- I would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the use of blue/red light for the treatment of acne.
Lumiport just launched a new product called the Dermasytle Pulse. It's the only product on the market the uses bi-colored LED's. Thus allowing you to use either red, blue, or red/blue combined with one product (no need to change heads). www.lumiport.com
