Now about the IPL itself, it does hurt. I take painkiller beforehand but not sure if it helps. But this is the only thing to EVER CURE my acne. For half a year I did not have a single spot. No whiteheads, blackhead, cysts NOTHING. It also got rid of a lot of redness from hyperpigmentation, my skin hadn't looked that great in so many years. But I will have to save up to do it again in future because it keeps my acne away. I just had pixel so I break out from that...but the spots I get from pixel go away after about a week..What happens is I break out mainly from my monthly cycle which is very annoying. SO hopefully next year I can do it again. If anyone has any question please don't hesitate to ask.

I had IPL last year and after reading a lot of peoples reviews, experiences all over the internet I thought I would tell you guys about mine. Now, I have read a lot of horror stories of where people have gotten burnt from this laser - I could have been one of them but the spa I go to is amazing and they asked for a full list of products I use of my face and after giving them the list, when I told them I used the product DUAC - which contains benzoyl peroxide they said I would have to stop using period, and wait 4 weeks before I could do any sort of laser. The reason being, that one or some (don't remember) of the ingredients in DUAC leads to skin sensitivity (to light/laser?? sorry I don't remember exactly what she said, it was a long time ago) and because of this sensitivity if they did the laser of me I run a high risk of burning my skin and leading to permanent scarring. It wasn't the benzoyl peroxide that gave you a risk it was some other ingredient which I don't believe she mentioned which one she went on the say that benzoyl peroxide is fine to use with IPL. Just as long as the other ingredients in your product don't cause this sensitivity. So for anyone considering ANY kind of laser, please make sure your clinic does a full background search on all the products your using and if your not sure they did go to more clinic and ask their opinion on whether your products are safe to use during laser. I know that sometimes the burns some people get are not caused by products but by an incompetent person..but I just really want people to know that certain products can give you a risk of burning your skin during these treatments as I didn't know this prior, so hopefully this can help someone.

Your IPL is to tone down scar OR kill bacteria OR hair removal so as to prevent folliticles?

Did you have any indentation in your skin - if so did it help with that too?

I do have indentations on my skin which is sooo annoying!! Unfortunately IPL did no help with that, its really just for redness, acne, or broken capillaries..I think there is more it can do but those are the ones my clinc said it was very effective for. You need a much more powerful laser to reduce the appearance of indentations (reason I did pixel laser)

Which IPL did you have done and why did you have the Pixel done?
Thanks for your sharing.
The Tanda even says antihistamines cause sensitivity to those lights. So I can imagine the list is long for the IPL things you can and cannont take.

I did the aurora IPL skin rejuvenation.
I had pixel done for my acne scars (indented and icepicks). Yes you are right, there probably is a long list for things you can't take lol
