Hello! I thought that those on the water-only regimen (washing face only with water- no products or topicals) would need a new place to update their progress. I'll start! I am on my fourth week of using just water (with 3 occasions where I used a cleanser, for certain reasons) and I think my skin is still improving. The first two weeks I broke out very badly, and the third week the bigger, inflamed zits stopped and I broke out in several whiteheads. Now, the whiteheads near my nose have cleared up, and my forehead is also clearing up as well. My hormonal acne along my jaw has been acting up a bit, but that's more normal for me and it seems to be going away. Anyways, i'm hoping that my skin will be clear in a week or so. I will say that my complexion is much better (less irritated/red) and also it is a bit smoother than my first few weeks of this experiment.

I hope everyone else on this regimen is doing well, and I look forward to hearing your updates! smile.gif

hey '
we are exactly on the same boat..
I've also been on my 4th week and today is the last ..
And i also used cleanser 3 times during that time frame..
and i really would like to know about your dead skin issue because i have one dead skin layer now and it makes me look dirty (look like a bum, lol) and i am confusing whether to use the cleanser to wash away that layer or not???? Any idea???
Besides that, everything seems ok..

I don't really have a dead skin issue, but I have noticed that my complexion seems a bit more rough..and i've been told I look a tad tanner which I think is actually the build up maybe? Most people who have done this regimen or similar have said to leave the dead skin on until it falls off on its own. It apparently protects the new skin underneath, like a scab, which will eventually go away on its own once the new skin is ready!

I am on day four of water-only, and I am so far loving it!! I splash with water in the morning, and wash with water and a cellulose sponge at night. - Oh! I also spray a little bit of rosewater on my face after washing. So far only one, very small new pimple has sprouted up - and it went away just as quickly.

It's very liberating to be able to leave the house without wearing makeup, I feel like this is doing a lot for my mental health in terms of helping me to stop obsessing about my skin every moment.

I have struggled with mild acne for the past few years, and in the past six months (through diet adjustments) my skin has become o-k. Mainly before beginning this water-only regimen I was battling red marks, CLOGGED pores, and a few cosmetic pimples here and there.

Here's hoping this works!

I washed my face yesterday and scraped off the dead skin layer which easily came off. A little red afterwards and it did not last long,, today my skin colour is normal ,but tiny gunk still coming out of the pores.. No new pimples.. Feel not dry or oily..
lets see what would happen ???
-I also eat healthy as much as i can. and of course exercise ,too..
Sorry for the quick note..
Good luck everyone!!
