Hello! This will be my little public diary about my experiences on Dan's regimen. I wish I'd started from day 1! But I hope that this helps some people (mostly me! haha).

Background--

I'm a 24 year old girl from the USA. I've always had what I'd consider mild or almost moderate acne. It never bothered me throughout high school and college because it came and went so fast. I didn't, and still don't, wear any makeup.

That all ended when two big changes occurred in my life: I moved to Japan, and I started the birth control pill. It's hard to say what hurt more, the pill or the new diet! Suddenly, the acne that never bothered me got bigger, lasted longer, and most distressingly started leaving large, dark scars on my face. My lower lip and chin area was a mess all month long with a revolving door of acne.

It's been two years since I moved the trouble began, and I decided to try Dan's regimen. The shipping price hurt almost as much as the BP (just kidding!). :)

Week 1--

I lucked out a bit on week one. I started while away on vacation, so when I came back to work with a red and painful looking face my coworker assumed I just got a bad sunburn! I didn't correct them. :)

I started off on a small amount of BP. My face was horribly red. I had some active acne and I felt like a total mess.

Strangely, the application of BP didn't burn, but moisturizer did. But I kept with it.

Week 2--

I kicked up the BP a little more, maybe a full pump (I'm using the super large versions). My redness wasn't so bad, but peeling started just a little. Moisturizing still burned very badly.

My acne was still there, but had also popped, leaving a red mark that I still have in week three.

Week 3, Day 20--

This is where I am now! I'm at full BP just about, occasionally less in the morning. This week the peeling really started. At work I've been carrying a small moisturizer in my bag so I can touch myself up a little when it's really bad. My face is still red, but it looked... healthier, I guess? It's getting closer to normal.

I had another pimple. I popped it (I couldn't resist! A moment of weakness :) ), and now it's a bit angry, but not too bad. There are some white bumps on my chin, but otherwise my skin is looking good.

I realized that it isn't the moisturizer that is causing the burning, it must be the BP. I switched briefly to another moisturizer, and got the same pain.

One good effect is that my skin feels great. Shedding skin aside, my skin feels very soft and my cheeks and forehead look wonderful. I guess I should have been moisturizing daily all along. :)

----

That about catches everything up... I'll hopefully keep updating so I can track my progress.
