Hello there,
I have really oily skin and cystic acne on my chin. I have just been using the Clean and Clear Advantage kit but it's rubbish and the salicylic acid doesn't work well with my skin.

I have just started using Simple refreshing gel facial wash, BP, and then a simple rich moisturiser. I have sensitive skin also.

I need a good cleanser and moisturiser though because I need my skin to balance with the moisturiser, and I don't want the cleanser to dry my skin out if the BP is doing that so I was thinking cream based cleanser?

Can anybody suggest anything please!

So I've heard the CeraVe is actually a very good cleanser that doesn't strip moisture off your skin. You should look at the reviews on the site smile.gif

Hi,
Cheers for the reply! It does sound like a good cleanser but I'm not too sure it's available in the UK which is a bit of a bind. Bought one of Boots Cucumber ones today to try out. Just used it and it burnt a little when I put it on? That can't be good...

I don't know if they have Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser there but I've had really good experiences with that. They say it "softens while it cleanses" and it does in my experience.

I've always had a difficult time finding a proper cleanser as I too have oily skin and most cleansers don't get rid of the shine even after you wash, so it probably isn't getting rid of all the dirt and grime left over on your skin from the night before or from the day. I always suggest a scrub just because that daily exfoliation is great for your skin. Not the type of scrub though that's going to being totally abrasive and kill your skin or aggravate your acne, just a gentle one with microbeads so you can get all the dead skin cells off as well as keep your skin from getting clogges pores due to the excess oil and dead skin cells that lay on top of your skin every single day.

I personally suggest Clean & Clear Detoxifying Facial Scrub. Best scrub ever I believe. I haven't been able to find it lately and I've been using it religiously for 2 years. I switched to the Neutrogena Deep Clean Scrub as a last minute resort and it seemed to work well. But I've suffered a horrible breakout on the 9th of this month, but I relay that to the Plan B pill I took on the 8th. But try either one those, I'm sure you'll be happy with them.

Good Luck!!!
