I'm using BP face wash then I apply Tretinoin.

After washing my face with the BP face wash for a whole 3 months I finally decided to using regular cleanser as my face was still getting very red and irritated by the BP face wash after 3 months !

Did I give up on the BP wash 2 soon or what it just to irritating for my sensitive skin?

You might have given up too soon - if, after three months, your skin was still getting very red and irritated, then you may have used too much too soon. Ease into it. Was it Dan's BP or another brand? We are using Cetaphil to wash the face twice a day and it's very gentle. Then we put on BP as a cream. Apparently the strength of the cream makes little difference in the ultimate result, so we use a 2.5% gel.

If skin is hurting so badly, use a gentler cleanser and only use a teensy bit of BP as a gel. Put a small amount on gently every night - wash off your face after an hour. Then slowly ease into washing after 2 hours, etc. Eventually you should be able to tolerate it for an entire night. That's what we did - the first night, my daughter could only stand it for 10 mins. Now she puts it on twice a day with no problems! Also, it makes you very skin sensitive, so use a sunscreen. good luck!
