it's been 2 weeks and it's still there, I'm using panoxyl 2.5 btw
I am falling apart here, I'm thinking of not going to university in September - I just feel suicidal and am crying as I type this.
when will the redness go away?

I've been using BP for 3 months now and still have the redness so I am deciding to stop it and use regular face wash.

Hi Jamie, I can relate to what you're saying about not wanting to go to university because of this situation.. I know how hard it is, trust me.
How intense is the redness? Can you cover it up with some mineral foundation? Are you clear?
This is what I think you should do. First off, you NEED to switch from panoxyl to Dan's BP. Panoxyl has alcohol in it and it is making the redness/irritation worse. (I started off with panoxyl as well)
Second, use less BP until your face is an "acceptable" red, you can play it off as a light sunburn or whatever. What I did to let my face get "used" to the BP was mix a little bit (like 1/4 teaspoon) of water with a pea size of BP so it would cover my entire face. Do that for about a week, then use a bit more then a pea size the following week, etc etc.
The KEY to this regimen is to start off slowly! Your skin isn't used to BP, that's why it's so red. It's in "shock". Private msg me if you have more questions okay? And try not to put your future on hold because of this shitty condition

the shipping is too much. I've switched to using panoxyl once a day and it's helped a bit. I'm still not clear, there is a big raised patch the size of a coin at the moment and it's a pink/brown colour under the skin. I have faith I can get this sorted though.

The regimen is a long-term thing... You will save money by getting a 16oz bottle of dan's BP + shipping rather then running to the pharmacy once or twice a month to buy a little tube of Panoxyl. It might be expensive at once but the bottle will last you a good 5-6 months.

I'm thinking about it but there is the customs tax and all e.g price = £50, customs would add nearly the same again

nahhh customs isn't that much. My last order consisted of 16oz BP, 16oz cleanser, jojoba & AHA and the customs charge was £18.00. A skank but not quite £50 lol.

you can try azelaic acid cream 15% or 20%. but i am using 20%. and its really working. i had redness on my face but then i started using this cream and even next day i could appreciate the result, it works very good on my skin. now my redness is fading day by day and i am happy with the results. this cream is mainly given for malesma i.e to cure hyperpigmentation but also for mild to moderate acne. so you should try this cream. you just type azelaic acid in the search box on this site and read the reviews. i hope it will work on our skin too. good luck
