a little confused here into the laser thing but isnt infrred a good thing for treating acne and getting deeper in the skin? there are 2 sites Im looking at which are

and theledman with contain infrared

what is the difference as both have received good reviews?

Blue light is supposed to kill the acne bacteria. Red and infrared are supposed to stimulate collagen production.

that aspect I understand but why does 1 website state they do not use infrared lighting for safty and what are peoples reviews regarding these 2 different sites.

I can't find where they say not to use infrared for safety. The only reference I saw was on your linked site in the red light description it says, "No harmful UV rays or infrared light." I think what they are saying is that the UV is harmful but that their red light has neither UV or infrared, not that the infrared is harmful. I have an Omnilux light and they purposely added infrared LEDs to it and it's a separate part of their recommended treatment, has been clinically proven and is FDA approved.

The only thing I have seen is the Red and Infrared are beneficial. They use red to help heal mouth ulcers in children during chemotherapy, and infrared has been used to help people with certain eye problems; not to mention that both help improve the appearance of acne and your over all skin tone/texture/appearance.

I use Acnederm.com lights. They work good for me. I believe their acne light is still $29.

I have used acnelamp.com as well but not consitently. Cagirl what is your routine with this lamp and how soon did you see results? I have mostly clogged pores that literally refill in 2-3 days and bought the lamp in hopes of it changing the way my sebaceous glands work in this area around my mouth and under my lips...Have you seen any difference with it preventing clogs?
