Hi all,
I promised myself that I would give feedback on this product since so many people frequent it for answers. I rarely leave reviews for products unless it's absolutely horrible. Anyways, customer service with acneorg has been one of the best I've ever seen.
I only ordered the 8 oz. BP, but it was upgraded to 16 oz. I think it has something to do with the whole "we found tons of leftover bottles that we should use" situation. Nonetheless, an upgrade is an upgrade. My bottle came with the pump detached, and I thought it was my problem, but I couldn't get the thing to screw on. I e-mailed them and they sent me a new pump that wasn't separated with FAST service.
As for the product, the BP is worth the money in terms of quantity and quality. I've used clearsail 10% bp cream as well as AcneFree BP Repair Lotion both the severe and normal condition versions, the clean and clear persa gel 10% bp gel, and also the 2.5% clinique acne solutions bp lotion.
So definitely, proportionally acneorg's bp is the best deal out there because it is not a cream that leaves residue, and you get more bang for the buck.
I'm going to post my acne history on my next post just to save you guys the trouble in case you guys are just looking for an opinion on the bp. The first few days of application, my skin really saw an upgrade. I always find it skeptical to read others' experiences when they say "OMG I SAW IMMEDIATE RESULTS" because I have rarely ever been in that position. But truly, I put the BP on after my SA wash, and the next morning my skin tone was so much better. Not only that, but contrary to the drying effects of BP, my skin felt so soft for the first two or three days. I kind of couldn't believe what was happening.
But by the fifth or sixth day now, the drying effect of the BP is catching up to my skin once again just like my previous attempts with BP from times before. My skin is back to its blotchy old self, with my good old friends "pimple on chin" "pimple on cheek" and "pimple around the crevices of my nose" as well as the unevenness of it all.
My opinion is that the BP works. But the fact that it dries the skin, just messes it all up again. So for the initial first few days, my natural oils and my lotion were enough to combat BP's side effects while doing the bacteria killing it should be doing. It's like any other form of drug out there. You fix one symptom, you get a few others that need to be remedied by other medication. It's an endless cycle that can make you insane. And I certainly am at that point.
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask. I just wanted to share my experiences so far with my purchase.
Dan's BP does work, but the side effects shorten the gains

This is my opinion (I used it for like 2 years) : this stuff is great for taking control of your skin but it takes a lot of time to get good and tolerated by your skin.
The BP is the best part of the regimen IMO, the moisturizer and AHA are "ok" but they have not any cosmetic quality : you will look "wet / oily" for 1 or 2 hours every morning, and they sting very bad, even after months.
The most common adverse effect is the initial dryness that can be totally crazy. My skin even burned for a time (totally red) during like 1 month when I used it and changed my place of living going for a colder climate.
In fact it will make your skin ultra-sensitive and it will take time to adapt to any change.
Remember that it takes something like 2 or 3 weeks to get used to it for most ppl but everybody is different, so it can take more or less, depending your skin.
For some ppl it will maybe never work.
But anyway, this is really harsh for the skin...

For me, it seems to prevent pimples, but it just darkens my already existent red marks and makes new pimples leave massive marks.
I would much rather continue having a few pimples a week that go away fast and don't leave marks than have no new pimples but a red face filled with never-leaving red marks. But if you have more severe acne than me then forget what I just said!

Hey I agree with you. During the first three days where my face was clear of breakouts and with evened skin tone, my scars would still make my face look hideous in real sunlight. I think that's what is frustrating about all of this. One product will help alleviate one symptom, but other symptoms may cause acne to come through because of other reasons as well as the necessity of MORE facial products like lotion+sunscreen. It's just too much stuff to put on the face.
If you have clear, smooth skin, the application of facial products is so much easy. It gets into the skin easier and faster. But if you have acne ridden skin with bumps and irritation. Rubbing in lotion to alleviate dryness from BP, and sunscreen is just too much.

I've been using it for a little over half a year. It definitely helps prevent new pimples, but, even now I still have bad flaking. I feel it helps with PIH at least... The texture of my skin is.. definitely more rough than it was before I used the BP.
The dryness is the worst, though.. At about 3-4 months in, my face was so red and painfully irritated. You could see a noticeable line where I had used BP and where I hadn't.
