I'm a 27/f with dry, sensitive skin. My skin was perfect while I was using St. Ives Peel-off Hydroxy Masque every week as well as the Acne.org regimen every day. It was flawless! Then they discontinued the masque in like 2008. It was perfect for lifting off the dead skin cells (it had lactic acid too) and pulling out the blackheads. Since they discontinued it, I bought a bunch, used it less and less to save up, and now I'm completely out of it.
So.... Since the regimen alone was NOT working, and I still have yet to find another peel-off mask that has lactic acid in it, I'm stuck with a few more pimples than I would like to have.
I did some research online and found tons and tons of awesome reviews for the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM). I used castor oil and jojoba oil. For a week it was great! All the clogged pores were un-clogging and I could feel the plugs from the blackheads coming out! Then the bad news came. TONS and TONS of tiny flesh-colored bumps all over my face!!! Well, that was about 3 months ago, and I STILL have tiny bumps all over my face. They're hard to see unless you get me under direct lighting. From time to time they become more noticeable than other days. I've completely stopped using the BP from the regimen as well as the moisturizer, and am only using the cleanser. I switched to using jojoba oil a week ago, and now it's happening AGAIN! MORE tiny bumps all over! I hate looking at or touching my face. The bumps itch sometimes too.
I had gotten the same bumps years ago from using milk thistle to detox my liver. I had them for several months, but was also using the St. Ives mask and that was helping to get rid of them. Can't use that now though...
Anyone have something similar happen to them? What are they? Milia? Blackheads? Whiteheads? How can I get rid of them? My face is sooo sensitive that I break out from almost everything I use.
Bumps all over face for MONTHS now!

Does anyone know of something I can put on my face to make these bumps go away? I feel like every single pore on my face is clogged and it's getting worse. Would Lac-Hydrin work?
Or is there a good salicylic acid soap I can use?

Drugstore SA products dont work quite much. Try Mandelic acids. It should be better and less irritating that retinol which could cause pores enlargement for some people after use.

from what i have read, paulas choice bha 2 percent liquid/gel is quite effective (i don't think this is classified as a retinol right? retinols are products like retina/differin, i.e. retinoids)
yea i have heard that retinols could cause pore enlargement
