Hi all, I'm gonna get straight to the point.
I've been using Retin-A Micro (0.04%) for about a little over 4 months now.
I've had no initial break out, and my skin was clearing quite nicely, as well as fading PIH and scars bit by bit.
And now, in the start of June, I've started to break out. There are new pimples coming up the surface everyday.
Perhaps I'm becoming immune to Retin-A? Or do you guys think this is an initial break out?
My face does not burn or dry up when I use Retin-A, and so I don't even need to moisturize after application, so maybe I should up the dosage?
My skin is pretty oily and so I really have no need to apply moisturizer even in the morning after a shower.
Anyways, I have no idea what is going on, Retin-A seemed to work so well, and it's frustrating me.
The only thing that is controlling my break outs at the moment is the Benzoyl Peroxide and AHA treatment in the morning and during the day.
What do you guys think I should do?
To recap here are the options
A) It's an initial breakout, stick with it.
B) Up the dosage.
C) You've become immune, change your regimen.
I've been thinking switching to Azelaic Acid but I want to consider my alternative options first.
I also I have another question, I seem to have this acne bump (Not painful.) that NEVER seem to go away. It's been on me for about a year, and I don't think its a scar.. for it fluctuates in size and more and more is coming to the surface.
I would appreciate any comment or help on these two matters.
Thank you all for your time!
