i am currently on my 2nd month of accutane and i believe i may have a very mild case of rosacea which i had noticed before my treatment.

two questions:

1 - does accutane make my face more red and make the rosacia to be more red during treatment. and does accutane get rid of rosacea?

2- can smoking weed cause or prolong or make rosacea worse? (please dont reply if all you have to say is weed is illegal and all that crap)

There's little to no scientific research connecting rosacea and marijuana. It makes some people flush and other people stone cold white. I guess it affects everybody differently. I have heard about it helping rosacea and at the same time making it slightly worse, temporarily.

Based on what I have found and experienced I don't think that marijuana itself will make rosacea worse. I think it's just dependent on what your doing while smoking. Like are you in a hot room, is it not just weed but tobacco as well, what are you munching on and various other factors.

In itself I doubt it directly exacerbates rosacea but in some scenarios indirectly I suppose it could lead to flushing. Like if you get anxious or embarrassed while high.

Cannabis actually helped my rosacea from accutane.

But as mentioned above, it differs with everyone and the settings you're in.

I don't really smoke anymore and my skin is as red (if not more so) than it was when I did smoke regularly. If anything when I was under the influence my face was less red for some reason.
