Hey everyone! I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if this is where I should post this so I'm sorry it it's not. Anyways I have a question. Will using a topical antibiotic (Duac Topical Gel) affect the initial breakout of Retin-a (I'm using a more generic brand of retin-a known a veltin)?

About a month ago my dermatologist prescribed me veltin and said I could continue using duac topical gel along with it. I know that duac topical gel is an antibiotic and that eventually your body begins to build up a sort of immunity to antibiotics. I have been using duac for probably about a year and had noticed that my face was getting more pimples so this was what caused me to schedule an appointment with my dermatologist in the first place. I was also wondering how long the initial breakout can last. My derm. said I could see results in 6-12 months but Ive also heard the IB can last for 8-12 weeks so would that mean I would begin seeing improvements sooner (not sure if that is a word!) than 6 months?

I hope someone can help!!
