PLEASE HELP. So I haven't had a pimple in a while now (because of Acnefree wub.gif ), but I have a whole lot of flesh-colored bumps that it hasn't gotten rid of, and probably won't get rid of ever. Does anyone know of anything that has personally helped you? I have very oily skin and I guess pore congestion is my main cause of these. I am keeping my oil at bay, but I just need a way to get rid of the existing bumps.

hey,

yeah i get the same things, lots of flesh coloured bumps. mine are on the forehead and the side of my face. ive had them for a few weeks now, but i did get them about 18 months ago when i was a way travelling in australia. i managed to get rid of them using paula's choice 2%bha. i havent bought any more paula's choice yet, as im away travelling again, but i will be buying some when i get home.

the travelling leeds me to what i think maybe causing mine. im from a cold country and as much as i love the warm, my skin doesnt. i normally have an oily complexion, but as soon as i enter a country with a warm climate, the oil gets loads worse. then to protect me from the sun, i use sun cream(of course) but then that blocks my pores and thus causes me to break out in lots of little bumps.

i went and bought some biore toner that had salicylic acid in it and ive been using that. its not the best but it has been taken away alot of them......but i still have a few left.

i know how you feel tho. f**king annoying

Only time has helped my flesh bumps this time around. The first time, switching from drying cleansers to an exfoliating cleanser with no detergent ingredients did the trick. So for me, the bumps are a combination of the skin not shedding effectively and it being dehydrated/dried out. Chances are the acnefree system is too harsh for your skin. But I've gotten rid of at least 95% of mine in a month by just leaving them alone.

I think mine are just from me having super oily skin, not the product because I've had these bumps since the start of my acne crisis. I do exfoliate with a sugar, honey, and lime scrub, so it's not that. And I always try not to touch them sad.gif I want to get rid of them so bad! sad.gif

I get mine randomly, or when I switch products. They leave by themselves usually, but I've had these for a LONG time now. Does the BHA make you go through a purging at first?

Mine were worse when my skin was oily. When I stopped using things that made my skin oilier, they went away. So it could be that yours will go away if you switch to a much gentler approach. And the scrub you are using could just be too harsh for your skin. Meaning more bumps. I'd say either try not exfoliating for a while and see what happens (as this time around I had to STOP exfoliating for them to go away, because my exfoliating techniques were too abrasive and harsh for my skin), or try a gentler cleanser that is not going to dehydrate your skin. Removing the scrub seems the easiest.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. I'll probably stop the scrub and use the Acnefree system I've been using. I noticed more started appearing when I used the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. The mask probably removed too much oil and caused an overproduction of oil. Yikes! D:

Ahh I hate these things. Mine usually go away with time... a lot of time. I used to dig at and pop mine to get them to go away sooner, but that kind of scarred my face soo

Yeah, whenever I try to pick at them, all I ever end up doing is irritating them, and they end up turning into a pimple sad.gif I really hate them, but I guess the best I can do is wait for them to go away by themselves.

Yeah, I tried to pop on or two of them (carefully) last week, and they turned into whiteheads that are still there... ugh. Call me crazy, but I'd rather have a few big ugly pimples that go away in a week than have a billion small bumps. It makes my skin texture look so bad. But I agree, waiting is the best way, unfortunately, it's not a short wait.

Yeah, I tend to try and pop the larger ones because they are just so hideous, and I know the pimple will go away in about a week. If I didn't have these bumps, I could literally say I am acne-free! It's so frustrating!!!!!! evil.gif

I had flesh colored bumps on my forehead too, but Devita Rx Rosacea Rx made them go away completely, along with all of my other acne (mild blackheads, pustules, and occasional hormonal cysts). It's weird that a rosacea treatment cleared my acne, but it worked!
