You're gorgeous! I have a friend with acne that looks just like yours and hers went away reallllyyy quick when she got on Accutane. I think it was because they were really just surface blemishes, like yours look to be. Not really cystic or anything. Good luck with accutane! I just started month 3 and my IB is finally going away, most important thing on accutane is to just have a positive attitude and use LOTS of moisturizer/lip balm.
Congratulations!!

Aw thanks so much! I'm so happy to hear that!!! I've heard some go away in months, some take only like a month. I'm hoping that's me! Yup, I mostly have surface blemishes and clogged pores. My pores are so huge, hate it!

Thank you! And GOOD LUCK with your course! Month 3 already?! That's exciting, you'll have picture perfect skin in no time. smile.gif I will definitely keep your advice and will have a lip balm with me at all times haha. smile.gif

good luck with accutane! I can believe you have to wait 30 days!!! I went in, took a blood test, got results and started the next day. Guess thats a good thing about being a guy? My acne is significantly worse tho!

Yessss being a girl sucks when it comes to accutane. Like, I KNOW I'm not preggo why do I have to wait 30 days?! It sucks, but it's gone by so fast so far. Good luck on your course, I know you'll do great! Thanks again.

Yay! I am on Day 5. Be sure to drink water like crazy! I have been drinking almost a gallon a day, but, today I totally slacked on that (a little less than a half gallon) and have a killer headache. Good luck!!

Looks like me and you will be starting Accutane very close together (unless something goes wrong). It will be interesting to see how we both react to the drug.

Alright! Well I might be a few days ahead (or possibly behind you :c) of you but considering its a 4+ month process I doubt a few days will really matter! Its weird. I am pretty damn excited to go on this pill.

I am so excited it isn't even funny. Just wish I woulda done it earlier you know? I was given the option last year but I was too scared. That could have been a whole year I was clear! I kept pushing it off but honestly I'm more excited than ever. Can't regret, can only be glad we made the decision now! smile.gif

And I'm at the beach right now and it sucks. HERES TO BEING CLEAR FOR NEXT FAMILIES BEACH TRIP. smile.gif Heck, even clear by Christmas! So pumped. So so pumped.

Hey o.p, so if you do not get pus filled pimples, how long does a typical people take to heal?

Since i am following your log, and i plan on maybe taking tane, i wanted to see how long your acne heals now, and how long it will heal during tane

Yeah we aren't sick, fortunately! But acne can just leave me now haha I've dealt with this stuff for too long. I have high hopes for accutane, it's worked miracles on everyone I know that has taken in. smile.gif

My pimples go away within like 3 days. But more come up in its place so it's never ending process. I see most people that have like big huge zits but mine are more tiny and more spread throughout my face.

Thank you, I will keep you updated on how long it takes to heal my pimples! My derm said not too long based on the type of acne I have. I will definitely let you know. She said I may be clear in a month. I can only hope!

Went to the derm today. Everything went fine, and I'm picking up my prescription on thursday!

This will be my routine:

AM:
Wash face with CeraVe hydrating cleanser.
Apply CeraVe moisturizer before applying regular makeup.

PM:
Take makeup off with nutrogena makeup remover/facial cleanser.
Anyone have any suggestions for a more calm makeup remover? I know it says my face wash removes makeup but I get such a good makeup remover out of the nutrogena cleanser! But I'd prefer to use something else.

And I've stocked up on auqaphor, vaseline, carmex, and other various lip products!

Anyone have any good products they've used on accutane that they could recommend to me?

Thanks all in advance! 3 days until I swallow the pill to clear skin. smile.gif

Oh and I'm starting at 40 milligrams. Is that a normal start amount??
