Hi Essex-

Take heart! I didn't see improvements until past 60 days at all. It doesn't mean it won't work.

Also if you're on a retinoid PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wear sunscreen when you are outside! That is probably what is making you blotchy and red. My dermatologist, who is well respected (he is the director of cosmetic dermatology at Cedars Sinai, one of the best hospitals in the US, and its in Beverly Hills, where cosmetic dermatology is taken very seriously) sells only a small handful of products at his office because he is so particular. One of them is Elta MD Daily UV 40 Moisturizing Sunscreen. Let me say that EVERY sunscreen and moisturizer under the sun breaks me out pretty much... but NOT this one. I tested it on half my face for a few weeks before I used it all over to be sure that it was not breaking me out and it doesn't. Its not cheap but its not that expensive either (about $25 for a bottle that I've been using since April and I'm not even close to using it up) And it moisturizes a bit too in addition to protecting your skin from the sun, which is so important since the retinoid is breaking down your skin's protective barrier. I'm not the only one that swears by the Elta... google it and look up reviews by acne prone people, they all say that it doesn't break them out!

Thanks. What is the regimen your on? Yeh I haven't been putting suncream on because i'm scared of the breakout. I will try your stuff then. Hopefully at the beginning of next month I will start to see improvements. Would like it to get better before I go back to uni.

My regimen:
AM
Wash with CeraVe + Prascion
Apply Klaron
Apply Elta MD UV Moisturizing Sunscreen

PM
Wash with CeraVe + Prascion
Apply Atralin (.05% tretinoin gel)

If your interested in how my progress went check out my log (link in my signature) I posted a set of pics every week throughout the whole process. I looove the Elta please consider trying it! My skin started turning a corner around week 10 I'd say. Up until then I saw NO improvement, I was fairly sure that it wasn't going to work. Try to maintain a positive attitude, I know its hard but I think that really has a lot to do with your skin as well smile.gif And your acne isn't so bad! At least its just on your chin, your cheeks and forehead look clear!

I did not see any acne on your face. I believe if you stick to ur regime, it will do you good.

Aint been on here for ages.Back at uni, everything was going ok. Still have no confidence with girls at all.Which is annoying. Now though I've had another breakout on my chin. a couple of them kind of look like colesaws. So does anyone know how you tell the difference between colesaws and spots?

Had another breakout so I'm thinking this regimen is failing. My face is all red and blotchy. Think it might be the panoxyl wash thats doing this. Not sure though, could be the differein. Anyone know what I should do?

Stopped using the PanOxyl wash, face is not red and blotchy anymore. However a few more spots have come up on my chin. So don't know whether start using it again or not. Can anyone help?
