About a year ago, i used the regimen for my mild acne and it cleared me up 99%. I used the regimen for about 4-5 months until i began developing these mysterious red, bumpy, itchy, patches that leaked watery puss.

Confused I went to see my derm.

when i saw my derm, i told him i used 2.5% BP all over my face. he told me BP was the reason for my negative reaction and to never ever use BP all over the face.

disappointed i discontinued the regimen.


now (6 months after derm visit), i used dan's BP again on a small patch of broken out skin because i hoped it would work. but again, i got those weird itchy, red, dry patches that take 5 days to go away and are horribly uncomfortable.


has this happened to anyone else? i dont know why the regimen worked so beautifully for me and then suddenly gave me this irritation/allergic reaction. does anyone know about this or have any suggestions/insight?

edit: i've been doing research and the best conclusion i can come up with is that it's possibly dermatitis. but why would the bp work so well for so long and then it suddenly gives me dermatitis?

You're not alone! I've been having the same problem, minus the bumps full of pus. My face just gets itchy and red, and it lasts a day or two.

I started using the BP at the end of October and it worked WONDERS, then I stopped for a little bit around the end of December. The first time I used it again was in early February and it left my entire face red and itchy the following couple days. My face stayed kind of sensitive to it for a little while after that but it seemed to eventually get better and I was able to use the BP pretty much as normal. But then maybe a month or so ago I noticed my face getting itchy from it again. I started using it every other day or every couple of days instead and stopped using so much of it, thinking that my reactions had to do with the amount I was using. Over the last couple weeks I tried testing it out by only putting it on certain parts of my face that needed it, but the next day those parts of my face were red and irritated, and you could see exactly where the BP had come in contact with my skin.

I should probably also mention that around the same time that I started having these reactions, my eyes started stinging when I'd apply the BP to my face. I never had that problem months ago. I've been using the same tube of BP since I started the regimen. My batch number is 0181.

I'm so disappointed about this because of how well the BP was working in the beginning. I really hope someone has some idea about what's going on!

bump does anyone know anything about our situations?
