I've personally found the new moisturizer extremely ineffective (oh yes, I've tried "using more", that did occur to me wink.gif also jojoba), and experienced a great deal of suffering since the switch (severe dryness, crusting, pain) with no other changes than the moisturizer for 2+ years.

Dan seems to talk about the "silent majority" who love the new moisturizer, could you speak for me now please? However I want to hear from those of you who are using the full 3 (new) pumps of benzoyl peroxide. I do not want to hear from those with mild acne, low dosage - I love you guys, this just isn't about you, I know you love the new moisturizer, and I'm glad. smile.gif

The reason I ask is because I don't actually believe the new moisturizer is capable of withstanding this level of benzoyl peroxide, and from the looks of things this seems like a really rather silly belief to have (surely Dan and staff rigorously tested it?) and I'd much like to discard it.

If you're an individual who experienced severe dryness and crusting (and the stinging itching unpleasantness of a drying agent on severely dry skin) with the new moisturizer (by doing things as you always had with the old), but have found a way to correct it or an alternative, I consider your experience especially valuable.

Example response I'm hoping for:
QUOTE
Absolutely, having followed the Regimen precisely my skin is quite tolerant of BP and I'm perfectly able to use 3 full pumps or more (when in doubt use more as Dan says), and have been for a couple months now, the new moisturizer handles the dosage just fine.

Something like this would be gold (hopefully my future situation):
QUOTE
Right at the switch before it was widely known we'd need to apply about twice as much of the new moisturizer my skin did actually become severely dry, crusty and painful! Even with heaps of the new moisturizer it made no difference! Thankfully after quitting BP for a month or so and beginning again with a very low dosage of BP slowly ramped up, and the proper plentiful quantity of new moisturizer from the beginning I've actually found it fully effective and excellent! Thanks Dan! eusa_dance.gif

Please everyone stay on topic. We have a valuable community here but it (like all fantastic communities of wonderful people) needs a bit of culling, let's above all be constructive. *puts away his dogma* Remember it's never about problems, it's about solutions. wink.gif

Hi Swin,

I have been using the full dosage (3 pumps) of the bp and new moisturizer for a month and a half (started in the beginning of May). After editing how I put on the moisturizer (the majority of it goes on my cheek and chin area) I do not flake at all. It takes about 30 minutes for the moisturizer to full soak into my skin, however.

Also, after the moisturizer has "fully" soaked in I dab my face lightly and once over. This prevents any shiny or greasy appearance throughout the day. I have oily skin and (before the regimen) moderate-severe acne.

hi I began the regimen about 1 year ago and have never been able to use more than 1 pump of the bp and 1 of the mosturiser. Im still having good results, maybe everyone is different but for me that sall I seem to need. I never got overly dry and never neede jojoba oil or anything like that.

3 pumps of BP and 3 pumps of moisturizer with 5-6 drops of jojoba oil is working for me (albeit a little uncomfortable at first.. some stinging pretty much every time but no crusting). No flakes for meee... And if they do happen later in the day I have jojoba oil at my desk, I just gently dab it on with a clean tissue and that takes care of that.

I use 3 pumps of the new moisturizer for my face and neck. Works great! I was going to add jojoba oil but since I am having good results I don't want to change anything.

I just started 5 days ago but I went right ahead with 3 pumps of BP and now my skin is super flaky and white after washing and drying. Once the moisturizer goes on it is less noticeable but it hurts a lot.

I will back the BP down to one pump and keep the moisturizer at 2 pumps starting tommorrow and slowly ramp up the BP. Acne is less abundant than before starting the regimen.

I am at 3 full pumps of BP and I am having great results with the moisturizer. I was severely dry starting at week 2. It's been getting steadily better since about week 4 (I'm on week 6). I've been using jojoba oil as a make-up remover and also massaging it into my skin before I cleanse in the AM, and that has seemed to help with the flakiness and dryness a lot, too. I would call my acne moderate.
