Does oily skin make acne look worse?

I know my congested pores don't look as noticeable when they are submerged under oil.
Like a volcano under the sea, basically.

I think a little bit of oil ALWAYS makes the skin look better. Matte dry finishes freak me out. I know I can't stand when my skin is dry. I always prefer to have moisture and a little bit of oil on me, even with make up!

For me I definitely notice a correlation. My skin gets super oily through out the day, and I noticed when I started blotting it helped keep my skin even clearer on the acne.org regimen. So now I make it a habit to do it frequently through out the day. Plus accutane apparently slows down oil production, so I think oil and acne is very much connected for some people.
