I was just at the drugstore and wanted to pick up a chromium supplement. The only ones I could find were the generic CVS brand (which came in 200 or 400 mcg tablets) and the Nature's Bounty brand (which came in 800 mcg tablets). Looking at the ingredients, the Nature's Bounty brand seemed a lot better, but I didn't want to be taking such a large dose of chromium every day, so I bought the 400 mcg CVS brand (the other tablets were also too small to split in half).

However, apart from the Chromium Picolinate, the CVS brand contains 390 mg of "proprietary blend"... Inositol, Soy Lecithin, Choline Bitartrate, and Grapefruit Extract.

As far as I know, I don't have an allergy to soy, but I couldn't find much about Soy Lecithin in these forums. I know it's used in a lot of foods, but a few people here said you should avoid it. My question is, should I be concerned? Should I take this supplement, or should I go back to the drugstore and pick up the other brand?
