Okay, so I have been struggling with mild to moderate acne for about a year now. However the only reason it is so minimal is because I have been on top my treatment from the get-go. I believe, judging by everything that I have done, and the fact that it remains PERSISTANT, even tho mild, and from looking at my family history (all of my siblings had horrific acne and they never treated their skin) that I probably would have much more severe acne were I not to take care of my skin.

Putting this aside, my careful care of my skin has resulted in a great complexion, but nonetheless persistent acne which stands out quite considerably from the surrounding, healthy looking skin, and it absolutely destroys every bit of self confidence I possess. When I'm breaking out I feel like it's the first if not only thing that anybody will notice about me, and frankly, I'm sick of it.

So finally I am going to begin on the Acne.org Regimen, and I am completely confident it will work.

Prior to this I was following my own similar regimen (just with more unnecessary products and 10% BP)

DAY 0 - my acne.org products arrived in the mail much quicker than I expected! they came in the middle of the day and I was going to wait and start the next morning but i just can't wait because they seem so nice. So that's why I'm calling this day 0. I followed all the steps and left the house that night already feeling confident and amazing about my skin. Obviously there was no immediate change in my skin, but I started while my face was already pretty much clear. My memory failed me and I believed I was supposed to start with a whole bump of BP not a half. So my skin was tight, but it was fine.

Day 1 - So my skin was unbearably tight last night and the Acne.org moisturizer just wasn't helping. So for NOW I'm going to stick with my cetaphil. It says cetaphil is okay on the regimen and it works for me. I believe in the acne.org moisturizer but from what i have read, DRYNESS is one of our biggest enemies. (also I shifted to my half a pump of BP)

Day 2 - Alright, so the half a pump of BP and the cetaphil moisturizer are working great. I'm experiencing literally zero dryness and flaking.

Day 3 - Still no dryness. I've got a zit on my forehead though, which is strange because I never get any there. But normally I wear a hat (which supposedly causes forehead acne but not for me) and for the past week or so i have not because I like my haircut. So maybe the unusual amount of sun exposure is responsible for this.

Day 4 - SO. Yesterday was the last day of school and I am now up to about 3 quarters of a pump of BP. I believe my skin will now be ready and I'm going to put my faith in this new moisturizer. If my skin gets a little dry or reacts adversely at first, I'm fine with that. I don't have to go to school, I can deal with it. (P.S. I have a few zits forming on my cheeks and i've notices quite a few little bumps on my jaw.)

Day 5 - So about 4 or 5 pumps of the acne. org moisturizer does the trick for me. I'm noticing A LOT of those small bumps. i think they're Microcomedomes. Soooo now we're moving into the so called purging period. I am currently breaking out lightly on my cheeks.

Day 6 - I'm starting to get some of that blotching a lot of people talk about. Still breaking out on the cheeks. Also feeling some bumps on my upper lip.

Day 7 - Alright, it's been a week, and i would say my acne is about where it would be normally. Its not that bad. but it's also not great at all. This is basically what I expected. My skin has been taking the time to adjust to the regimen before it can start getting better.

basically everyday i tell myself it will only get better from here. It gives me confidence sideways.gif.

Day 8 - Still lightly breaking out. I would say that I'm getting a lot of blotchyness, especially for me. But I still have absolutely no flaking. (upper lip starting to break out)

Day 9 - My breakout sort of looks like its following a path on my face. its not bad at all, but the zits i do have follow this uniform line from the corner of my mouth and swoosh upward, kind of like the joker. (although I'm not laughing about it....) Also theres a lot of residual redmarks.

Day - 10 - the right corner of my upper lip has been breaking out but it's now already clearing up. my cheeks also completely cleared up but I lost my resolve and was over examining my face the other night in the mirror and I just couldnt resist a little exploratory squeeze at one of the little bumps on my cheek. Prior to that it was completely unnoticeable but after i messed with it, it started to just slowly getting bigger and redder. By the end of last night it was a total whitehead and I had to pop it (it was huge, shiny, white, surrounded by red, and it was ITCHYYYY.) as of today its basically completely healed except for a tiny scab where i popped it. I attribute this to the fact that I used the meathods provided on this website for popping when you absolutely have to.

*sigh* I would say the regimen is going great but my own brain has caused some troubles because as of the end of today I'm getting another zit growing on my cheek next to the one i popped ( i must have irritated it when squeezing the other) and one on the other cheek (luckilly its high up and looks like a freckle or something.) I had to pop another one on my lip because it was painful and I was having trouble opening my mouth to eat. Also, I have one one behind my hairline. Lol. I never get those but i noticed it while i was washing my hair. Oh well. I chose to believe its an outlier and has nothing to do with the rest of my skin.

Despight all this time ive spent describing my current breakouts, I would say my skin is MUCH BETTER than it was when starting. Even tho i was clear at the start, that was by sheer luck as the products arrived earlier than I expected and during a rare break in my breakouts. I may have had some zits here and there and my skin may be sensetive but I've been getting compliments on it LOOKING better overall. I am pleased with how this is going.

Day 10 (part 2)

Pretty much Have to add in a part 2 for today due to some complications. Due to some opportunities related to my musical persuits - I was unable to get home untill like 3 am, making my nighttime regimen about 5 hours late on top of the fact that I'd just been sweating profusely and holding a microphone against my mouth for hours.

I forsee bad skin for the next week.

Oh well. We weigh our options I guess.

(I might add tho, that were it not for the feeling of confidence I have gotten just from my little time on the regimen, that there would have been no performance from this guy, anywhere, anytime, for anybody. So thank you Daniel Kern, I took a big step tonight and I couldn't have done it without your products)

Day 11-

Surprisingly my skin didnt look as bad today as i thought it would. Due to the late night my 10-12 hour window was pushed back so I had to do everything at like 1 PM and AM, but ill slowly shift it back to a regular time.

Still no flaking, but my skin is definitely more blochy and a lot more sensetive than usual.

Say if I have an itch - if i even reach up and lightly scratch it, the area will turn red for the next 5-10 minutes.

Also, I'm up to about 1 and 1/5 pumps of BP

Day 12 - Surprisingly one of the problem areas created from my late night has already cleared up. However other one high on my right cheek is not making such progress. I think the area got really irritated.

Still very very little if any drying and i have minimal flaking now but only in like the last hour before i wash in my 12 hour cycle.

I'm up to about 1 and 1/3 - 1 and 1/2 pumps now.

Day 13 - Still almost no dryness. But I'm breaking out under the left side of my jaw. Idk, you would think it wouldn't be so bad because it would be less visible or something but this is the place i HATE breaking out the most. I feel like its the most noticeable for some reason. I attribute this to the fact that I need to shave though.

Still on 1 1/2 pumps of BP and using 4 1/2 pumps of the new moisturizer. (the recommended 3 pumps would probably work fine for me but 4 1/2 keeps my face in a really good balance.)

day 14 - TWO WEEKS! Alright so the update is as follows... I use 3 pumps of cleanser, am currently up to just over 1 1/2 pumps of bp, and use 3 pumps of the moisturizer plus an extra pump if my skin needs it. Skin is certainly clear. Complexion is great. I would say for the past week and a half I have been purging. I probably developed a zit a day. But they dissipated MUCH faster than usual and if they didnt, they came to a head that i was able to gently pop with a sterile needle and a tissue. I think im still in the purging period but it's definitely drawing to a close.

I got a bit sun-burnt today (i wasn't even in the sun for that long! my skin must be extra sensitive from the ramping up of the Bp) so i think im gonna have to invest in a good SPF soon. But the acne-sensitive kinds seem to cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.... any recommendations??

Day 15 - Now using just over 1 and 1/2 bumps of BP and as of today my face is really clear. Even the zits that were starting to develope which i thought would come to the surface are either not developing at all or are going away. Unless you were to examine my face up close you probably wouldn't even be able to tell I have acne (at least not more than a normal teenager)

I'm just now starting to get flaky, but its only when i wake up in the morning and my skin has been rubbing on my pillow all night.

Day 16 - I currently have NO active breakouts. There is still some healing areas, and some of my red spots are still really dark. But they are completely flat and they just look like blemishes which I really don't mind. Today is such a confidence booster.

P.S. the flakiness is increasing, but i notice whatever dry skin has built up is removed when I shave, and seeing as I shave every other day, it isn't really a problem. I don't touch my face during the day so nothing causes me to flake.

day 18 and 19 - I was gone for a minute, I've been busy! But yeah so Saturday I woke up to like 4 new zits on my cheeks and i was panicking because i was clear the day before, so I popped them. Luckily i did it carefully and there were no repercussions. Also i can feel some new zits forming under the skin on my jawline. i guess I wasn't done with the purging period.

Nonetheless, I still look remarkably clear.

day 20 - So one of the things I'm noticing is that when I DO pop a zit, it heals a lot faster now that I'm on the regimen. I think it's because of the new moisturizer honestly. I really feel like its making my skin UBER healthy. ANYWAYYY, a few more zits on the jawline as expected. However, i was looking at the "what to expect" section and it's TRIPPING ME OUT how much my skin has followed what was laid out in the moderate acne section. Like seriously - to the effing T!

P.s. now at 2 pumps of BP. woooo

day 21 - THREE WEEKS!!!! ALRIGHT, so as I was saying previously, my face is pretty much directly following what is outlined in the what to expect section. I cleared during week two and right at the end BAM, i started to break out a bit. It's pretty moderate and under control, and the left side of my face has already cleared up. However i feel a lot of bumps under my skin on the right cheek.

Still though, my complexion is good, I don't rly have flaking on the face (but i've been getting it under my neck and under my ears, I think this is from stray BP I get on those areas while applying and then I never moisturize those area because I'm not treating them)

Theres this one spot under the left side of my jaw where my facial hair grows oddly, and this little one inch area just keeps on breaking out. grrrrrr

I'm now up to 2 and 1/4 pumps of BP. I use 3 pumps of cleanser and 5-6 pumps of moisturizer
