Putting this aside, my careful care of my skin has resulted in a great complexion, but nonetheless persistent acne which stands out quite considerably from the surrounding, healthy looking skin, and it absolutely destroys every bit of self confidence I possess. When I'm breaking out I feel like it's the first if not only thing that anybody will notice about me, and frankly, I'm sick of it.
So finally I am going to begin on the Acne.org Regimen, and I am completely confident it will work.
Prior to this I was following my own similar regimen (just with more unnecessary products and 10% BP)
DAY 0 - my acne.org products arrived in the mail much quicker than I expected! they came in the middle of the day and I was going to wait and start the next morning but i just can't wait because they seem so nice. So that's why I'm calling this day 0. I followed all the steps and left the house that night already feeling confident and amazing about my skin. Obviously there was no immediate change in my skin, but I started while my face was already pretty much clear. My memory failed me and I believed I was supposed to start with a whole bump of BP not a half. So my skin was tight, but it was fine.
Day 1 - So my skin was unbearably tight last night and the Acne.org moisturizer just wasn't helping. So for NOW I'm going to stick with my cetaphil. It says cetaphil is okay on the regimen and it works for me. I believe in the acne.org moisturizer but from what i have read, DRYNESS is one of our biggest enemies. (also I shifted to my half a pump of BP)
Day 2 - Alright, so the half a pump of BP and the cetaphil moisturizer are working great. I'm experiencing literally zero dryness and flaking.
Day 3 - Still no dryness. I've got a zit on my forehead though, which is strange because I never get any there. But normally I wear a hat (which supposedly causes forehead acne but not for me) and for the past week or so i have not because I like my haircut. So maybe the unusual amount of sun exposure is responsible for this.
Day 4 - SO. Yesterday was the last day of school and I am now up to about 3 quarters of a pump of BP. I believe my skin will now be ready and I'm going to put my faith in this new moisturizer. If my skin gets a little dry or reacts adversely at first, I'm fine with that. I don't have to go to school, I can deal with it. (P.S. I have a few zits forming on my cheeks and i've notices quite a few little bumps on my jaw.)
Day 5 - So about 4 or 5 pumps of the acne. org moisturizer does the trick for me. I'm noticing A LOT of those small bumps. i think they're Microcomedomes. Soooo now we're moving into the so called purging period. I am currently breaking out lightly on my cheeks.
Day 6 - I'm starting to get some of that blotching a lot of people talk about. Still breaking out on the cheeks. Also feeling some bumps on my upper lip.
Day 7 - Alright, it's been a week, and i would say my acne is about where it would be normally. Its not that bad. but it's also not great at all. This is basically what I expected. My skin has been taking the time to adjust to the regimen before it can start getting better.
basically everyday i tell myself it will only get better from here. It gives me confidence
Day 8 - Still lightly breaking out. I would say that I'm getting a lot of blotchyness, especially for me. But I still have absolutely no flaking. (upper lip starting to break out)
Day 9 - My breakout sort of looks like its following a path on my face. its not bad at all, but the zits i do have follow this uniform line from the corner of my mouth and swoosh upward, kind of like the joker. (although I'm not laughing about it....) Also theres a lot of residual redmarks.
Day - 10 - the right corner of my upper lip has been breaking out but it's now already clearing up. my cheeks also completely cleared up but I lost my resolve and was over examining my face the other night in the mirror and I just couldnt resist a little exploratory squeeze at one of the little bumps on my cheek. Prior to that it was completely unnoticeable but after i messed with it, it started to just slowly getting bigger and redder. By the end of last night it was a total whitehead and I had to pop it (it was huge, shiny, white, surrounded by red, and it was ITCHYYYY.) as of today its basically completely healed except for a tiny scab where i popped it. I attribute this to the fact that I used the meathods provided on this website for popping when you absolutely have to.
*sigh* I would say the regimen is going great but my own brain has caused some troubles because as of the end of today I'm getting another zit growing on my cheek next to the one i popped ( i must have irritated it when squeezing the other) and one on the other cheek (luckilly its high up and looks like a freckle or something.) I had to pop another one on my lip because it was painful and I was having trouble opening my mouth to eat. Also, I have one one behind my hairline. Lol. I never get those but i noticed it while i was washing my hair. Oh well. I chose to believe its an outlier and has nothing to do with the rest of my skin.
Despight all this time ive spent describing my current breakouts, I would say my skin is MUCH BETTER than it was when starting. Even tho i was clear at the start, that was by sheer luck as the products arrived earlier than I expected and during a rare break in my breakouts. I may have had some zits here and there and my skin may be sensetive but I've been getting compliments on it LOOKING better overall. I am pleased with how this is going.
