Hello.

I am getting theledman to custom build me a LED array and I have some questions.

I plan on getting the red/infrared plus separate yellow array as I plan to do dermarolling and going to follow Lamarr's instructions closely.

I also have a little bit of acne (2 at the moment) and I want to purchase the blue lights first to kill the acne bacteria before I start dermarolling. theledman told me he would be able to make me a custom blue with 415nm blue lights.

Now I heard that the acne LED works better with a combination of red and blue, not just blue.
But I'm not sure if the red and blue have to be done together or can they be used separately. So should I ask him to build me a custom 415nm blue / 660nm red dual array and use that for the acne or should I get him to build me just the blue and then use the red/infrared followed by the blue or blue followed by the red/infrared?

I am a 29 year old male with occasional adult acne but the worst thing is my acne takes forever to heal and then the red mark stays on and often leaves a scar. Decided I had enough of this and going to take things into my own hand. So I hope that the LED/dermarolling really works.

Thanks.

just to let you know:
-infrared light is harmful to your eyes. you need protective eye wear. i have tried many different methods to protect my eyes but after each time i use the infrared light my eye sight becomes fuzzy for a few minutes. so i dont know if it its worth using it. the red light is just as good in my opinion.
-no one is for sure if yellow light promotes collagen growth. you should look it up.
-you should control your acne before doing any scar revisions or you can cause more scarring.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely use protective eye wear. Yeah I need to control my acne first which is why I am going to buy the blue light.

So can anyone tell me if I should get the blue/red combo or should I get all blue and then use the separated red/infrared as well? And if I go the latter route, do I use the blue one first or the red/infrared one first. I heard that red and blue combo works the best which is why I'm asking this question.

Ok I think I made my decision and will go for the all blue. I read somewhere it is best to use the red and blue on alternate days so I am going to use blue one day and the red/infrared on the second day and so on. If anyone is out there, please let me know what you think.

You should get peeper goggles or whatever they're called for your eyes. Where did you read that? I was wondering the same thing and I think it doesn't really matter much if you combine them or separate them, I was under the impression that if you use separate bulbs you should use the blue one and then the red one right after. Btw, what are 'Lamarr's instructions'?

I think I read it somewhere on the EssentialDaySpa forums. That it got too drying using both for her but I agree with you and think it doesn't really matter. I think I will use my blue light first and then the red/infrared right after.

Lamarr didn't have active acne and he used his for scars. He used the dermaroller, followed by the red/infrared array and then the separate yellow array after. Once I get my acne cleared up, I will do that. Got 3 pimples now and annoying thing is my acne stays there for more than a month. i am not even sure if it is acne or a red mark.

I am going to make DIY C-serum as well as I found lots of help on essentialdayspa on how to make your own. I hope I can finally rid myself of the acne and later on, scars.

As for the goggles, theledman said I don't have to use goggles for the blue or red but it might be safer to wear for the infrared light. I am going to buy suntanning goggles anyway from the local suntanning store. He said to cover the outside with aluminium foil.
