Salut,

So I started Dan's Regimen today. I've come to the site before, thought about trying it, then didn't. My skin isn't horrible, I don't have bad acne, but I do get red zits often enough that I never have a truly clear face, and I'm sick of it, being that next year I turn 30. My face has never been clear for the past 15 years. Again, not with bad acne, but always with some red zits here and there. My back, on the other hand, has gotten worse with age. At this point, my back is worse than anything else and it's creeping onto my arms where it never was. I've tried dermatologists with pills and topicals and other stuff. Heard the accutane thrown around, but not really willing to go there yet since it's not that bad.

The only time my skin ever got even close to clear was when I was out in the sun for a couple of days--something I rarely do. I'd go on vacation and be outside in the sun walking and not realize it, but I was "in the sun" and my skin would clear up significantly. So I tried it a few times, sitting out in the sun to try and see if it helped. I got sweaty and oily and it didn't help much. If I kept myself dry, it helped when I had gotten a significant load of sun. Then again, it may have simply been that the tan skin hid the issues rather than solved them.

Finally going to try the Regimen. I started today. I got the big 16oz bottles because I'm using it on my shoulders, upper arms, back (down to waste line) and face. I kept keeping myself from trying it because of cost. I figured we'll see if this works. If it does, I can see how much I need to keep using once I'm clear (if that happens) to keep it clear. If it doesn't, I threw some money away, but at least tried something before going back to the Dr. My experience with dermatologists is that honestly, it's a crap shoot (largely because they don't really go into the history of someone's skin, oil, etc, ever notice that? They instantly prescribe something instead of truly investigating and trying things first before putting you on some 6month track whatever, or other things, and a big fat bill for it).

I ordered the big bottles May 22nd early in the morning. The package shipped May 23rd. I just got them today, May 26th, in the mail via USPS flat rate box service (I think shipping was $12 via this method). So 3 days to get here for $12, without having to deal with UPS/Fedex hassles when you're not home to receive packages. So, USPS flat rate boxes work great for this particular thing. Packaging was great, everything was proper, well packaged. The bottles arrived with the "new" pump top. I don't get the fuss, but they seem to work fine. 16oz just doesn't look like a lot. But we'll see how long it lasts me on this based on my planned usage. I'm following the Regimen for back/face, so I'll be using more Cleanser and BP, and I'm using the 3 pumps (more on back, just to cover entire area, not just shoulders). We'll see how long the BP lasts. So, started this morning.

I'll keep you all updated on whether or not this is helping.

I've seen some amazing results for some people here. Everyone seems to get at least some relief doing this. It would be nice to tan outside with other people for once.

À la prochaine & very best,
