Before that breakout, I had a solid 3 days of 0 breakouts which was awesome... but now my face is pretty bad again. Hopefully it will die off soon, I am staying positive and hoping for the best before settling on accutane. Most people seem to see the turning point come aroudn week 6 according to posts on this board, so I will certainly give it a month from now before giving up.

Didn't mean to alert the pc police... haha
Day 32: I think that overall I am breaking out a bit less than I normally would here 4 weeks in. The problem now is that I have a redonkulous amount of PIH all over my face that I think looks aweful. There's really nothing I can do but wait it out, I'm using AHA more often and hopefully that will help. I'm going to try to take it very easy this week, drink a lot of water, and maybe not touch my face very much (even to pop whiteheads). I'm hoping that my face will stop breaking out hardcore and I can begin to see some healing.
The bottom line: I believe my face is improving, but unfortunately if I were a random passerby... I think my face is still in pretty poor shape

I'm going to keep giving it a shot until I relocate in a month and can start accutane. If it doesn't clear by then, I've basically tried everything else so there is really not much else to lose. I'm really just frustrated that this system hasn't seemed to work for me, but I'm holding onto the sliver of hope that things will turn.

You will start to clear up around month 3-4. Dan's "what to expect" guidelines are a bit optimistic as it takes most longer. If you read peoples logs you'll notice they are full of ups and downs but eventually they do get clear. Hang in there and remember that this requires patience. You will be clear. But most likely not for another 2 or 3 months. Small amount of time for clear skin if you ask me.

At this point, if you were thinking of starting Dan's regimine, my advice would be not to bother.

But seriously don't give in, for some people it took 3 months + for improvement! & if June 22nd was day 35 then you are now only on day 44. That's not even 2 months in. Keep at it and I'm sure you will see improvement!

Day 47: Actually seeing improvement! Obviously I'm holding my breath, but wouldn't that be sweet if when I was about to throw in the towel I had a miraculous change? Almost no actives after a few days of sun on the beach -- although my skin is still pretty darn brutal with red marks. I finally got this huge monstrosity that i thought might be a cyst on my cheek drained... some clear liquid started coming out which I know is bad, but hey it seems to be fading so that is good!

I'm on Day 39 and don't seem to have seen a significant improvement yet but I think I'm still purging. I am sooo with you on those bloody red marks too!
I've ordered more products to make myself keep at it! Ha

Ah well... I'll give it another couple of weeks before throwing in the towel on Dan's Regimen. The on thing that really bugs me about this system is how freaking long it takes... maybe I'll only waste $150-200ish in total on my two months but I am also giving up a TON of man hours just applying, rinsing, waiting to dry, reapplying, waiting to dry, etc two times a day seven days a week. At least my skin isn't flaking out of control like most people on here, though I've probably permanently damaged it with all this BP
Will keep everyone posted through the end. I don't know why I'm still motivated but I'm still goin' hard as possible on this regimen until I relocate and am forced to commit to accutane as my last means of cleardom.

I feel like my skin MIGHT be turning the corner. I haven't had any nasty breakouts in a while (7-10 days) so my skin has started to heal and the marks are beginning to die down. I know that these red marks are going to take forever to die, they have been spots of recurring acne for years and are pretty beat up. If anyone has any tips to speed the process I'm all ears.
Naturally, I am most concerned about not seeing any new acne. I am tabling this at 3 weeks from today. If my skin continues to improve over the next three weeks than I will not be embarking on Accutane. This would be a huge step and, by all means, I still anticipate doing Accutane for the long-term benefits of the procedure. However, if this is really indeed that magical turning point that a ton of people have been alluding to with the Acne.org Regimen process, than I would love to forego the risks involved in Accutane and just stick with this.
Will keep this log running over the next few weeks to see if the positive change in direction holds... or if it is another fakeout like it has been so many times in the past.

Not only am I still breaking out, but I'm breaking out with more than just the small things like I was accustomed to a month or two into the program. My face is still red and dried (this NEVER goes away guys, BP is just so darn drying) and any "good days" are clearly wiped out with a string of bad.
I went to my new dermatologist the other day to talk about Accutane and he told me he thought it was a good idea (to my relief, finally a supportive MD). I'm getting bloodwork done today and will start the program in around a week. I will link to my accutane post (will make one on acne.org) once I start so you guys who are especially interested in progress logs can follow along.
I appreciate all of your support throughout this forum, but the Acne.org Regimen did not work for me.
