I only suffer from blackheads. Where a pimple use to form now a blackhead just forms. They dont go away by themselves ever. I went on accutane it just made things worse my skin is a mess and has so many trapped pimples/blackheads appearing all the time and leaving scars.

What has the antibiotics done to me? I took it every day for 2 years because my doctor told me to keep taking it until I grew out of my acne. Where a little pimple use to form there will be a small sebum plug and where the big ones would usually form, thered be a huge sebum plug and surrounding skin was often raised but without so much of the redness of a zit.

Im lost only thing I can think of doing is seeing a naturopath who can hopefully give me pimples back? atleast they go away

i noticed i got some blackheads after taking doxy.. (like 6 of them on my cheeks).. but i still get inflamed acne!

when i first went on doxy in june of 09, it helped my skin. It then wore out its welcome but I didnt get off the stuff completly till two months ago. I kept going back to it but it never really helped. I dont get inflamed pimples just lots of clogged pores, blackheads and deep embedded white heads. Mostly in my chin area and sides of mouth..Ive often thought this was all due to doxy

I see im not the only one, hmm I wonder what doxy has done to us and if it can be reversed?
I mean its messed up how hard they are to extract and how theyre causing scars.

the thing is, doxy (if it was the culprit) did something different to me.

I dont really get these clogs you are talking about (i have a few blackheads),

but what i get is this weird layers of dead skin, literally LAYERS of dead skin that can easily be rubbed off... and when you rub it off, it reveals an enlarged pore.

I have a shit ton of enlarged pores now

How long were you on doxy for? I was on it for almost two years straight so the more time on it the more damage caused most likely

hey wicky, how do you know the whiteheads are deeply embedded?

How long were you on doxy for? I think my bumps were also caused by fucking doxycycline.

did you ever get these clogged pores prior to taking doxy?

never had a consistant problem ith them until i started doxy. now its over run my face. they are deep cause they cannot seem to come out no matter how i try to extract them sometimes. theres also so many of them.
