Hey everyone,

I'm a 14 yr old boy from south of England, UK. Whenever I go to school, my skin gets really oily, and whenever I see a reflection of myself my face shines like the sun. I find it really embarrassing and I was wondering if there are any products out there (available in the UK) which will help my face to stop producing so much oil. I also have acne and lots of acne scars which become more visible in the oil.

Hi, i would strongly suggest something called oc8 mattifying gel, you can get it here http://www.pharmacy2u.co.uk/oc-eight-oc8--...m_campaign=main
Although it does say it keeps you shine free for 8 hours which it doesnt....well not for me anyway, depends how oily your skin is i suppose, it does make a difference for at least 5 hours i would say, plus you can re-apply after that anyway.
I would also suggest you get oil blotting sheets too - clean and clear do some, think they have them at boots on their website.

There's a product by Origins called Matte Scientist and it's had great reviews for keeping very oily skin looking shine free. it's full of natural organic ingredients that will actually help fight acne too
also i second what AleXelA advised about the oil blotting tissues. i dont suffer from oily skin anymore but a few of my friends still do and they carry the blotting tissues around with them. just press them on your skin and like magic the oilyness has gone
also over time you'll probably find that your skin will stop producing so much oil. my face was really oily aged 14 because of those hormones going crazy but now i've grown out of that stage, my skin's gone the opposite now, its really dry !

Thanks for all your replies so far! I'll look at the stuff you've told me about. I don't suppose anyone knows about any products which will also help to keep the blackheads away on my nose throughout the school day?
