Hi everyone,

I have decided to keep a progress diary whilst on the regimen so that I can share my experience including all the ups and downs that I will be facing for the next few months.

Just a little bit about myself - I started getting acne from the age of 12 but it was very mild all throughout my teen years and acne would come and go. I've been on antibiotics in the past which did wonders the first few times, but my most recent experience with antibiotics wasn't quite positive. I thus quit the antibiotics and never plan to go back on them (as I know that they cannot be a long term solution to my breakouts).
I noticed that my breakouts were starting to become a lot more regular since the end of last year, with perhaps a couple of pimples surfacing every week. But I thought 'Meh, 2 pimples a week - it's annoying but I can live with that'.
However, it wasn't until early this year (around February) when I started to realise that my breakouts were becoming a lot more frequent. I was almost getting a new zit every day, and on bad days, I'd be getting quite a few.
I am a self confessed picker - a habit I developed last year - because I hated the sight of bump/s under my makeup and I always felt as though squeezing the pimple got rid of the pimple faster.

Anyways, it's gotten to a point where I couldn't take the constant daily breakouts (I would be squeezing my pimples every day) and I would break down and cry a lot of the times after I got home from work. Also, I've been developing a few pimples underneath the jawline/bordering neck area which is so unusual for me because I have NEVER broken out there. My social life has gone out the window ever since I've become obsessed with my skin a few months ago and I decided that it was time to seek a remedy to fix it once and for all. Roaccutane is one of my options, as it is the thing that comes closest to being a miracle drug. However, before going down the accutane route, I do want to try out this CSR as it has done wonders for so many people.

So here I am, currently on day 11 of the regimen. I am using DK's cleanser, BP and moisturizer. There have been bumpy rides thus far.
The first few days were OK - nothing drastic, just a pimple here and there.
I had maybe a couple of days where a new pimple didn't surface which was really good but that didn't last long of course! Into the second week, I broke out on the right side of my face (my main problem area) with like 5 new pimples. I've also developed a new pimple on the corner of my mouth and one 'under the surface' ones on the left side of my face.
I tried to refrain from squeezing for a couple of days, but I couldn't resist, and just earlier tonight, I went on my squeezing spree and obviously my face is all red from the pressure as I type.
I did manage to get the guck out for a few of them, but not 100% successful. I didn't want to go any harsher on my skin so I left it at that.

On a positive note, my mum has commented on the complexion of my skin - she said it looks a lot more calm and radiant as opposed to before. I don't know whether to attribute that to this regimen or because I quit using makeup since the start of this regimen but I like to think that it's both.

Anyway, I am trying to be as realistic as possible about the results. I'm just unfortunately one of those weak ducklings who become all skeptical and heavily discouraged when I am confronted with breakouts. I know that it's still VERY early days for me to make any informed decisions. Hopefully, clear skin is on the horizon. It's definitely not going to be an easy experience, and I do not expect any drastic changes in the next few weeks, but I guess I will have to continue to tell myself that each day, I am getting closer to achieving clearer skin. Here's hoping smile.gif

Good luck to all those on the regimen! eusa_angel.gif

Oh and to any of you readers out there who have been or are currently on the regimen, do you use your fingers to glide the products onto your skin (as Dan illustrates in his vids) or do you use your hands to rub the substances into your face with a circular motion (gently of course!)? Does it make a difference?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for reading this lengthy post.

Hey again!

I saw you made a log too so I thought I would come check it out. smile.gif I know it's hard but you should really try to avoid popping any of them, it just makes things worse.

As far as your question goes, I do exactly as Dan suggests and use my fingers. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but to me it's not worth finding out.

Use your fingers. Less pressure than your whole hand. smile.gif
