Hi,
I'm a 20 year old male in the UK.
I've recently been on a product buying binge in a bid to clear up my mild, but noticeable due to my pale complexion, acne, as well as attempting to eat a fat and sugar free diet and taking vitamin supplements.
I recently began to break out more than usual after being relatively clear for a few months.
I purchased some Pine Tar and some Sulfur soap off amazon, both of which have had varying results. The Pine Tar seems good at clearing up my existing spots, but has created more spots elsewhere in the process. Although this could be due to my moisturiser.
I used to use Eucerin face replenishing moisturiser, and it was great, it didn't break me out. Because I hadn't been breaking out for a while, I stopped using it. I bought another tube yesterday because my breakouts had returned I used it in the morning and by the evening I was worse.
The sulfur soap seems to reduce inflammation and get rid of existing spots, but has no effect on stopping new spots appearing.
I'm wondering if it's because I'm using new products that my skin is reacting.
Aside from this I have used a lot of the cleansers on the market. Garnier, Clean and Clear, L'Oreal Men. They all seem to be really inconsistent.
So, I'm planning on trying out BP and possibly getting a reliable moisturiser recommended by people on here. I originally used the Eucerin because it seemed to be being endorsed by people on here for a while.
I've heard good things about panoxyl and cetaphil. Are they the ones that people would recommend, or are there better ones?
And as a side note, if any UK people have had experience with Pine Tar and Sulfur, could you give me some advice.
Help with products.
