Hi All,

Just received my 472ml treatment in the post, after paying the lovely import charge. Bit gutted as the pump is broken and not usable, this also happened last time.

I dont really want to cut open the tube at this point as I think the treatment will dry out, any ideas of what I could do?

I wish there were better products in the uk so I wouldn't have ship all the way from the USA but I've found stuff like Panoxyl really drying and also cause redness. Dan's cream is the best by miles.

I think you should contact Customer support. I would definitely not mess with the bottle.

The next time I need to order my BP, I am going to place 2 seperate orders for the 8oz tubes, rather than one order for the 16oz bottle.

Even though the shipping charge will be more, you save money overall because you do not have to pay Import VAT and RM handling fees, as the 8oz tubes are under £18. Ordering the BP this way will save you nearly £8.

Also, although you don't have the convenience of the pump, not so much BP will be wasted, as the tubes can be squeezed to use up every last drop, whereas with the bottles, a lot of BP is wasted around the sides & bottom of the inside of the container.

I ordered Dan's 8oz BP last week and when I got it, it was the pump variety. When mine runs out, I'll probably cut the bottle open.

That's a pity. The store still shows the 8oz BP in tubes. Although I notice that the 8oz cleanser & moisturiser come in pump bottles, so I suppose they are now using the same bottles for the BP as well.

Thanks for the link. That's the first time I have read Dan's blog. I didn't know it existed! I'll check it every now & again to see what's new.

It's a pretty good resource. It's where he posts all of his updates about the products and goings-on with Acne.org. Plus his posts usually make me laugh, so that's always good. : )

I'd rather it didnt have the pump if its going to break whilst being delivered everytime. Good idea about splitting the order, think ill give this a go next time.

Which delivery option do you guys use? Is the cheapest one pretty reliable?

Oh and does the import tax limit include the total price including delivery, or just the cost of the goods being shipped?

The VAT threshold should only apply to the cost of the goods, excluding delivery. Although there is a thread in this section about a member who was charged VAT when they shouldn't have been.

The charge label on the package should show the breakdown of the charges. The VAT should be 20% of the cost of the goods, and the Royal Mail International handling fee should be £8.

I chose the cheapest shipping option. My last order took 15 days from placing the order, to receiving the postcard from RM telling me to collect my parcel from the sorting office, as there was £16.03 to pay. Grrr...
