Hey guys. I've been looking into adding a zinc supplement into my routine alongside vitamins such as vitamin D and multivitamins/fish oil pills. After researching zinc for a while now and seeing previous threads/reviews on acne.org, it seems that 50mg is accepted as the appropriate amount in zinc (for most it seems zinc gluconate chelated). Of course 100mg and anything over is far too high an amount.

At the moment though I'm only able to get hold of 25mg chelated Zinc Gluconate tablets - but would it be ok to simply take two of these a day at seperate times after meals (to meet the 50mg a day approximation mark for most effective results)?

I just take 50mg in the morning. It may be better to split it up, but right now things seem to be going well. I believe I read online somewhere that you would have to take 100mg daily (without supplementing copper) for about 2 years before zinc poisoning starts to set in.
