I have been on 100 mg Aldactone since Feb 14, 2011 it is now April 4th and I still get some pimples. Anyone knows how much longer I'll have to be on Aldactone to have clear skin?

I've too been on it for about 2 weeks now..
I read almost every review on this site and others and it seems the avg. time of noticing a difference happens anywhere from 1-3 months. I would just give it a little longer or maybe even talk to your doc. about upping your dosage!

do not expect to see a complete clearing of your skin untill the 6th month of treatment. my sister has been on spiro for a year and i saw her the other day and her skin looks like porcelain. she said to be extremely patient, and that the results wont come fast. you have to wait it out. it takes a minimum of 3 months to see significant improvement and 6 months to 8 months to see a complete clearing of you skin. increase your dosage after the 3rd month if you dont see results. hope this helps.

I have been on 100 mg Aldactone since Feb 14, 2011 - It is now Oct 6, 2011 and it has finally worked on my skin!
I just did a blood test and my doctor said I should stop taking it for a couple of weeks.
I am worried my acne will come back.
Dose anyone know how long after stopping the med - the acne comes back?

The potassium level was way too high - meaning I could have had a heart attack.
So I stopped taking it.
If you are taking this pill you should have a blood test every month to make sure everything is ok.
