So I have about a month to clear up my acne before prom! Currently it is not too bad, but it could be better. Just some background information, I've had acne since I was 12. It used to be a lot worse back then. I used to have cystic acne on my face when I was using Erythromycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel. That was a nightmare, my acne has gone up and down during the years. Currently I am using tretinoin gel and doxycycline tablets. I am also using Neutrogena's Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 30. It does have a light tint so I have to rub it in pretty good. So I decided to give Dan's Regimen a try, I'm hoping a month will at least help me clear up most of my acne before prom. This is also my first time purchasing products over the internet. I hope this goes well!

Good luck! You look like you have mild acne, looks like it could def work for you! But keep in mind the regimen takes around 3-4 months to really work for some people. You go through alot of flaking, redness and irritation in the first month or so. Not trying to put you off just letting you know

hey! welcome to the site. i'm with squares on this one, you might want to wait til after prom to start because your face will most likely look like complete crap for the first month. this is my advice: start off SUUUPER slowly if you want to avoid looking like a flaky lobster for prom! use as little BP as you possibly can so that your skin doesn't get irritated like it would if you used the amount of BP that dan tells you to. after prom, ramp it up

Thanks for your replies, I quickly found out the next day. I feel like the Moisturizer isn't enough for my skin. I know the Regimen says 3 pumps, but thats waay too much with the amount I get from my pumps. This is what I got, the BP has a cap instead of a pump.
On the 3rd day my skin looked clearer, the BP tanned my face a bit. I need to stay out of the sun. I've really been cautious about touching my face and not itching, but this morning I woke up with 5 huge pimples ready to explode. I took a shower that took care of most of them. I had stopped getting acne on the area below my eyes till now. I think I'll hold back on the Regimen until after my Prom.

I've been trying REALLY hard not to touch my face ever since I started the regimen. But benzoyl peroxide has always given me really bad cystic acne. Tonight I went nuts on my face out of frustration. It had taken me a long time to get rid of the cystic acne after the last time I used benzoyl peroxide. I really thought this new regimen would help me get rid of the small black/white heads and red marks on my face.
Sorry for my rant, I'll regret all of this later but prom is THAT important to me right now.
