Anyone heard of this -

Bioeffect EGF Serum

Apparently it's a new revolutionary product from Iceland and you only need to use a single drop twice per day to see results. Sounds hard to believe but it seems to be getting positive reviews everywhere, was wondering what your thoughts are.

Oh, and this is linked to scarring, I am thinking of using this in conjunction with needling.

with all do respect save your money when it comes to topicals. They will do nothing for actual depressed scars. Unless you use 1 percent Retin-A for years, you might get 0.1 percent improvement.

Topicals can help with discoloration though.

Actually, i've had great results combining potent topicals and needling. Many of my depressed scars are either gone or practically unnoticeable. I've found a routine that works for me and now i'm just looking for improvements hence this thread.

There is alot of people who have had great results with retin A , and it's more than 0.1% improvement, and it's less than 1 year, Retin A is a great topical for improving scars visibility etc.

After how long did you notice big improvements from the stem c'rum?
I don't see any effects yet but is way too early, i'm gonna wait 8 weeks before judging, because in the study I read they said collagen was multiplied by ?? within 8 weeks.

Like I said, it's hard to pinpoint how much the stem c'rum helped as I use a combination of things (dermastamping, led's, terproline professional and stem c'rum). In terms of my overall improvement, I see a difference around two weeks after each treatment and these results maintain and even improve over the coming months until my next treatment. Some of the results are temporary (micro-swelling) but I can tell the difference between that and actual improvement.

The next topical i'm going to try (just on my forehead) is the Stem Cell Serum by Mesoestetic and I just ordered a sample of the BIOeffect Serum. I'm more excited about the former, will let you know how it goes.

Received my sample yesterday. I applied one drop to my hand and it kinda just melted in. It felt warm on my hand and I couldn't stop touching my skin afterwards 'cos it felt so smooth. I don't know if I could recommend it just yet (have to test it on my face) but it certainly feels different to any other topical i've tried.

Nah, no before and after photos. If there are they're probably doctored anyway. I doubt it does anything significant for scarring or wrinkles (unless combined with needling). I would look at it as simply a really high-end topical for overall skin maintenance.

Liquid, I think you're trying out a great 'safe and steady' way of scar removal. It would be seriously awesome if you could post any picture updates, so that we can follow your progress firsthand cool.gif

Thank you for the encouragment rimram, I am actually at a point where I would be willing to share pictures soon (maybe after a few more treatments), a stage where I never thought i'd be. Sadly I don't have any before pictures. My skin was so bad at one point that i'd never even consider taking pictures, I was terrified about what i'd see. If you look through my past posts I used to complain about a huge unsightly boxcar scar in the middle of my cheek which I never thought i'd get rid of, but it's practically invisible now.

My next regime will be using a combination of the Stem C'rum and something called 'X-ADN Gel' by Mesoestetic in combination with derma stamping and led's. Will let you know how it goes.

Cool cool.gif! I have a boxcar sucker on my cheek as well and some shallow rolling scars. Once my acne has settled for good, I might very well go for a routine similar to yours, think it sounds great. Good luck with your endeavors mate !

I'm sure the improvement these people are getting are on very superfical scars, and the effect or rather the results are actually exagerated by improvement in color, tone and clarity.

A deep crater will not be improved by 1% Retin-A.

Remember, many people on this forum consider discolration from acne as being scars, which they are not. I've seen people post pictures of post-inflamitorry pigment changes from acne, thinking they are scarred for life. So take what people say with a grain of salt.

Regardless, I know Retin-A 1% will not dramatically improve actual depressed craters. It will improve pigment changes and help the discolored acne mark fade faster.
If can also help superfical scars, but a true deep crater scar will have very little to no improvement in the ACTUAL DEPRESSION via Retin-A use.

Good luck

Well I bet if you did a clinical trial, took 100 people, rolled one side of their face with no topical, then rolled the other side and applied topicals, you would see the same results in terms of improvement in craters.

Im sure the topicals aren't doing much, and you would see the same improvement in depression if you had used rolling alone.

Then again topicals do help with pigment issues, which can falesly give the impression that the depression has also filled in once pigment issues are resolved.

Anyway, if it works for you keep it up, thats all that matters.

I've seen improvments and decreased down time when adding certain topicals. Interestingly there actually was a clinical trial recently where they applied a topical gel to one side of the face after needling, and needling alone on the other side, and they reported that the side treated with the gel had greater results.

Needling Gel

Retinoids have been demonstrated to facilitate enhanced healing in conjunction with needling.

In addition there is a member here who has self needled frequently both with and without copper peptides and has the stance that there is a noticeable difference between the two in favour of using a topical. I link her details in a recent post of mine.

You're either talking about adella or shortypinky right? I don't know about retinoids, never tried them myself. I'd say growth factors are probably the most effective and safest choice since they naturally occur in the skin.

I'm surprised no one here has tried high quality hyaluronic acid in conjunction with needling, seems like the most obvious choice along with Vitamin C.
