How come there is no section for off topic threads for non vet members?

Because this is, first and foremost, an acne website. There is so much information to share and take in regarding acne without having an off-topic forum to post in until you're a Veteran Member.
Veteran Members are members who have taken the time to post about their acne-related experiences, share information, and give feedback to other members, and for that reason, they are granted special privileges, such as access to The Lounge, where we allow off-topic posting.
It only requires a tiny bit of dedication and persistence, and then you, too, can reap the benefits that come with achieving Veteran Member status. : )
