How many supplements, vitamins do you take daily? I'm currently taking 6 and contemplating adding more but I'm concerned that taking too many may have an adverse effect and additionally may cause stomach problems. How many do you take daily and out of interest what do you take?

rosehip oil (1 tsp 2x day)
vit d3 (3335 iu)
probiotics (1 capsule)
flax seed oil (1-2 tbsp)
turmeric/cayenne/cummin powders (each 1 tsp 2x day)

i think for me vit d3 is starting to work for redmarks kinda, maybe eusa_think.gif & rosehip for pores n controlling acne somewhat (bcz vit a in it) but maybe just my imagination n its something else, idk..anyhow i think vit d3 is good stuff, if u dont get sun enuff etc

i wonder if i should ditch flax tho, bcz even tho previously everyone was like: oh yea must get it noww! u must have it, the best good fat, omega stuff etc, good for acne, blah..but now i read its already became bad n better to ditch! its just eeverything eventually becomes bad? o__0'

I take 6.

Zinc
Vit B complex
Selenium (with ACE)
Omega 3 fish oil
Evening primrose oil
Garlic

The first 5 are for my skin. I bought the garlic because the chemist was offering 3 for the price of 2. As it's supposed to be generally benificial to your health, I bought the garlic to make it up to 6.

@electthedead01 19, wow! What do you take? Have they cleared your acne?

Is everyone getting positive results using the supplements they take?

Right now (only a week or two in) it's just:

- Vitamin D3
- Probiotics

And I'm thinking about adding the following:

- Pantothenic Acid (B-5)
- B-complex
- Zinc

I don't want to be taking too much which is my main concern. I will never supplement A,C,E because you can get tons of that from easily obtainable fruits, veggies and nuts. That's basically the reason I take D3, because where do you find D other than the sun?

Zinc I won't add in until at least a week or two after I've started up the B-5+complex for a week or two. Or maybe I'll try it the other way around. Hmm...

Apart from that, nothing. I get everything else I need from food

- Borage Oil [thinking of switching to a different Omega-6, like Primrose Evening Oil.]
- Vitamin E
- Vitamin C

Only around my time of the month:
- Niacinamide
- Zinc

And I cut out dairy, so:
- Calcium + Magnesium
- Vitamin D3

I'm thinking and pretty sure I'm going to add in some good quality probiotics since I'm convinced my system has been screwed by 1-2 years of non-stop antibiotics. To the people that take probiotics, what kind do you take?

I'd also like to add, I wouldn't take any vitamin in the form of carbonate [check your labels]. Most of my vitamins are the form of citrate which is highly soluble.

I just started taking a probiotic that I consider "fairly mild" without causing too much upset - Nature's Bounty Chewable Probiotic Acidophilus With Bifidus Natural Strawberry Flavor, instructions say to take one wafer three times daily. I may move on to a stronger, more potent probiotic later on. I just tried the highly regarded B5, and it REALLY SUCKED!!!

Zinc 50 mg (morning)
Calcium + D3 1000 IU (morning)
Multivitamin (morning)
Fish Oil (three times a day)
Probiotics (twice a day)
Turmeric (twice a day)
Broccoli Pill (once a day)
Milk Thistle Extract (2 mL I think)

Not sure if the last three are doing anything. I also have L-Lysine supplements, but I don't know if I'm getting the right amount of it in my diet, so I'm not taking it yet. I get enough magnesium and selenium outside of supplements, but I don't know about chromium--might have to look into that.
