I know I'm going to get a lot of flack from posting this but I finally have come to the conclusion that I am done with all the acne diets. I am one of the most healthiest people I know. I workout 3-5 days a week, drink plenty of water, don't eat gluten, soy, low carbs, no tomatoes, bananas, oranges, and no refined sugars or processed foods. Oh and absolutely no dairy. I also limit my intake of coffee, eat plenty of fish, chicken, and turkey and little red meat. And guess what, through all of this, I still have acne! So today as I contemplated what I was going to eat for lunch which usually consist of a greek salad with balsamic vinegar cucumbers, cabbage, and chicken, I said enough. I'm tired of eating boring things and done with scrutinizing everything I eat. Just 8 months ago, I ate whatever I wanted and did not have any issues and now all of a sudden food is affecting me. I just don't think that is feasible. So for here on out, i'm going to continue to eat healthy with plenty of fruits, vegetables, meats and whole wheat, yes, WHOLE WHEAT breads and push forward. I figure I need at least something that is joyful in my life and if that comes in the form of having a whole wheat piece of toast or GASP, a cup of OJ then that's what I will do
Done with the diets

I'm sorry you didn't find your answers.
I'm lucky to be able to say I'm getting there. - Not as easily as some others, but I'm getting there.
If you take a break and maybe one day decide to try the Holistic thing again - we won't hold a grudge!!
(I'm a bit jealous of people who eat pizza - to be honest.)
Either way - hope you find a solution that works for you!

Sorry to hear this isn't working for you. Just curious, how long have you been on this diet?
Also, I think stress is a very important factor. For a while, I was too stressed about my diet to allow the diet to help. If avoiding limitations helps lower your stress, it may help your acne. Wishing you the best.

I've been on this diet since late December. Now i'm trying to reintroduce things into my diet because I can't pinpoint one thing that is causing my acne. But the battle continues.

I'm no expert, but I'd definatly like to help.
First of all do the meats that you eat contain anibiotics, steroids ect? You should check the labels for chicken and red meats.
Also you should stop with caffene.
Calm your stress.
In my opinion if you have a great diet then you'll have great skin. without washing it.
Wait a minute? Maybe it's your cleanser or spot treatment or your mask or your exfoliater.
I learned the hard way. Most acne products are to aggrivating and just have you coming back for more.
I personally eat a good balanced diet, I eat a lot of chicken breast, fruits and vegetables.
Also I only wash my face once a day, which is at night with organic honey.
Another thing that could be causing your acne is grain and beans, if you eat them.
Not everybody, but some may be sensitive to them.
Another thing is try to limit your carbohydrates. 80 to 130 grams is good.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.

Personally, I was on a diet too - it definitely helped me acne to a large extent but it did not rid the acne and I still terribly oily skin. Just'sayin.

I think diet does make a difference. Personally, the more water I drink, the clearer my skin. Also, the less I touch my face. Even if I'm sweating, I do not wipe the sweat off without a clean towel or something. I eat pretty healthy too, and I think lactose is the only thing that makes a difference.

99.9% chance that either a hair or facial product is the cause of your acne.
You said 8 months ago you had clear skin and then suddenly it changed. Well think back to that time....
Did you start using a new shampoo or conditioner? Or maybe a different hair spray etc?
I know I went thru the ringer with diet as well and i still maintain a very healthy diet as well (pretty similar to yours), but actually found out that it was my new shampoo that was breaking me out all over.
As soon as I switched boom, clear skin again and I can eat pretty much whatever I want in moderation and keep it that way.
Good luck and don't give up...just look elsewhere
