Was curious as to how long it took for everyones oil production to decrease? Please include how many mgs you're on also as I'm sure that makes a difference. This is my day 3 on 50 mg. Hoping for good things to come!
How long did it take for you to see decreased oil production?

I noticed a decrease in oil very quickly (maybe 2 weeks in). After 3 1/2 months on 100 mg/day, my acne has not yet improved, but I am less oily all over. Furthermore, my hair isn't falling out as rapidly. Hope spiro works for you!

I've been on spiro for almost 2 months. 1st month at 100mg. 2nd at 150mg. I have not noticed a difference in oil production at all. In fact, I think it's more oily. I don't know if it's because of the Atralin gel and the CeraVe Lotion. One thing for sure is that I notice my skin is younger looking. The acne has not disappeared, but I'm happy that my skin looks youthful.

i know this is an older post but my question is related to this topic.
is it a fact that spiro is supposed to decrease oil production? cause i just thought it was an androgen blocker. so im still really confused on how spiro works. i thought accutane decreases oil production.
